      Sierra Mechanical Services quoted a price of $900 for a permit, then they said that the permit fee is actually $150. We requested a copy of the permit prior to performing the work and they said that they had not applied for the permit yet, although they were headed over to do the work. Sounds like they were not really going to apply for this and planned to complete the work without a permit. I am sure that the City of ********** and **************** would not be pleased. When we questioned this, they became very defensive and cancelled our job just a couple of hours before they were to arrive. Very shady. Buyers beware. do your homework and find a reputable mechanical contractor. Do not do business with this firm. Looks like they may have bought out another company called Matzco Heating and Cooling. information was coming under both names.

      Company failed to provide detailed invoice for charges of $1350.00 showing work to be done as "modifications" not paid by home warranty company necessary to install a furnace replacement. Company then failed to provide receipt after homeowner paid for those "modifications." Homeowner had to agree with home warranty company that he would pay modification charges before furnace would be installed and heat restored to home in December. Modifications not readily identifiable to homeowner. Repeated requests by homeowner and warranty company for receipt were unsuccessful.

      If I could give them 0 stars I would. We used this company not by choice but because our home warranty company assigned them to us. Took 2 weeks to fix our AC during the middle of summer. But it wasn't the 2 weeks that was the problem, parts take forever now a days. They no call no showed once, this was on a Friday. Our window was 12 to 4 and at 4:01 I didnt want to call and be like where ya at. So I call at 4:45 on Friday only to find out they close at 4pm and they are closed all weekend. Then they canceled twice on us, once do to rain which it was going to rain, but it wasn going to rain until 30 minutes after our guaranteed window. Had to call and find out when the part was coming in and it was one of those oh it just came in today we were going to call you.

      Company tech dissembled my unit alleging they thought they would be doing the repairs from their 1st tech coming out crossing my wires 3 days prior causing my compressor to burn *********** not to be trusted.

      Paid Sierra Mechanical to come look at my a/c unit that will not go below 78 degrees. They tried to overcharge the service fee by $20.00 and were here maybe 5 minutes. Told me it is normal for an a/c unit to not go lower than 78 degrees in hot weather and left. My a/c unit is not that old and has always been able to cool to whatever temperature it is set on. Don't waste your money or time, they obviously do not care for their customers or reputation.

      We have a Home contract with ******** **** ******... We contacted them for service on our Air conditioner.. *** Dispatched Sierra Mechanical Service Inc. ************ to our home..We were advised that IF we did not hear from the Company to call for a tec to come out..we did this 2 times with ZERO response from them... Finally had to call another company to tend to our issue & cancel the service..not that they would have bothered to come or call us anyway!! For a service company, they have POOR Communications!! IF you need service..you might want to skip past this company!

      This is not a customer of ours, they are a customer of ******** **** ******. *** did send us a work order on June 9, 2022 @ 5:46pm after our office closed, on June 10,2022 we let his warranty company know that we were fully booked and could not service in a timely manor and we were not accepting this work order. *** should have let their customer know.

      This company Dropped the ball and did not notify me directly, they had the dispatch notice.. In reviewing other comments on the web it seems to be a common issue.. I did speak with the warranty company about this issue & they stated they did not get any notice until After the fact!!

      Terrible experience. I had a gas leak and Sierra said they would come out that day to repair at 3pm. At 3:15 they called me and rescheduled to the next morning. My gas was turned off and I had to sleep in a freezing house. I called off work the next day to let them in at 9am. They called me at 9:30 and tried to reschedule for the next week! Absolutely ruining my plans for two days, causing me to call off work, and never fixed the problem. Incredibly unprofessional.

      I think the report given to our home warranty was totally a lie. It stated things that "the heat exchangers condition and failure have been caused by a rusting in the system from abnormal operating conditions such as, excessive heat retained in the ******** due to plugged or unclean filters, unclean blower wheel or system. Water leaks on the system, whether from a drain line that is plugged or a humidifier that is not seated properly, will cause a corrosive build up on the outer shell or internally causing the metal to weaken in the spots of rusting."Plugged or unclean filters? Really I change the filers every month on the 13th of the month. He never even looked at the filter. Unclean blower wheel or system? Really? He did not even look at the blower wheel section of the furnace. Water leaks from a plugged drain line or not seated properly? Did not check those either. The line has been replaced often but was not even touched or looked at. Not seated properly? Really the companies that bid on a new furnace to be installed said it is great and will be putting it right back in the same place. What about being 35yrs plus never enters into the assessment ? Never mentioned. I have family in the Sheetmetal lines and could cause some some rusting over 35plus years. I would not recommend this company nor a home warranty to anyone particularly in our case CHOICE.a zero star if there was one
