We felt the experience we received from the owner of this *** should be reported so that others may possibly be warned of the lack of quality of work and the treatment they may receive if they use them. When replacing our guttering from hail storm damage, the owner of this ***, chose to change what we had on our home (without our consent), that all homes have, and chose to leave off the caps at the ends of the gutters, causing the waters to gush out onto the roof and under the shingles causing shingles to lift up. We couldn't foresee guttering put on without capping the ends where water is naturally pouring out the ends onto the shingles into the landscape , causing damage to the shingles being forced up. When we asked him to cap the ends of the gutters, he got very offended and said that is what the roofing company hired him to do and has always done and said very angrily, that he would NOT change it to what it was supposed to be and left our home and would not return to fix it. He chose not to fix it the way, we the owners wanted. When we contacted the roofing *** to have it fixed, they contacted the owner of this guttering *** and asked him to fix it the way it was originally, and he told them he would not have time to correct it. We had to hire another guttering *** (very well known in our community) and they said the way it was done without caps at the end, is the way it used to be done in the 80's. Unfortunately we had gone by the recommendation of the roofing company and the false website of this guttering *** Before the company we hired could come out to replace and complete the guttering, the shingles on the roof had already lifted up from the pressure of the rain pushing under the shingles pouring out the ends of the gutters. If you hire him and he continues to put up guttering in this manner you can be sure you will have roofing issues following and you will receive disrespect for work being done on your own property.
