My landlord is threatening to increase my rent and if I do not comply he is threatening to make me move out if I dont pay. The property is inhabitable and has been for over a year. After countless promises from *** stated that he will fix the issues months ago the work still has not been complete. The ceilings are falling, they get wet and have mold, the refrigerator is not working and all my food has gone bad multiple times, causing me to have to spend more money on out to eat food or replacing the food, my outlets are smoking, cracking and falling out the wall. The light fixtures are falling out the walls, the windows leak water, there are nails sticking your feet as walking in the kitchen, the basement continues to flood after over a year of complaints. I also smell gas when I turn on my heat and the carbon dioxide alarm is always going off. I am only limited to using one room in the house and its supposed to be a two bedroom and basement. I am only able to use my living room. My children have not been able to come over to my home because I cant prepare meals for them and the smell of mold in their bedroom has become so strong it affects their allergies, my son has been seen in the doctors office and ER since these issues have occurred because it is affecting his health and breathing. There is always obvious signs of lead in the property. I have went and complained to the health department and also have documentation from them they also contacted *** since these issues were reported and he has yet to fix the issues. This has affected myself and family a great deal financially and mentally as I do not feel safe living here.
