To whom it may concern,
We have reached out to ***************** agent and gutter company, among others, to collect a detailed report of the damages she is claiming. However, our findings do not align with her claims. Despite informing her insurance agent of the documentation we require, he has since become unresponsive.
To clarify, we are not disputing this matter outright. However, ****** has continued to demand payment without providing the necessary supporting documents. Specifically, we need an official report from her gutter company in order to move forward. If possible, we kindly ask the BBB to request that ****** provide you with the report so it can be forwarded to us for review.
We are open to resolving this issue with her, but we cannot process payment without proper documentation, especially given that her claims conflict with our investigations findings.
Below is the communication log involving Enterprise Contracting, Inc. and her insurance agent for reference:_______________________________

Oscar,
We are awaiting the report from Leafguard, as the photos on file do not appear to corroborate the claims being made.
Timeline Update:
November 14th, 2024, 11:52 a.m.
ECI contacted **** from Leafguard, who noted indentations across the system that affected the hood of the guards. He also stated that the extensive scratches voided the paint-finish warranties and that the damage affected the entire gutter system. We requested photos of these damages along with a full cost breakdown for replacements.

My name is ****** ******, a citizen of **************. I have enclosed certain contracts and different information concerning my situation.I have tried solving this problem with different contractors that have come to my home to complete roofing repairs for me. I am thoroughly disappointed with the results. They seem to think since I signed the contract they owe me nothing. The contract was signed in great expectation of repairing so said in the contract to repair the roof. I believe that all these contractors should be made obligated to work together to repair my roof and replace the gutterings.Business Response

We attempted to contact the BBB but were unable to get past the hold music to speak with someone. We are confused about a complaint we received regarding a consumer we have no business dealings with.
Here are the facts:
We met with this individual in 2022 for a storm damage evaluation.
Their insurance company inspected their roof and denied coverage for their roof.
We did not sign any contract with this person or agree to perform any work on their property.
No funds have been exchanged, no contracts have been signed, and no work has been conducted by our company for this individual.
The complaint vaguely references "contractors" needing to come out, but we have no knowledge of this. We have not communicated with this consumer in three years and have no ongoing business relationship. It seems there has been a misunderstanding, as they may have mistaken us for another company.
We kindly request the removal of this complaint, as the individual in question has never been a customer of our company. Additionally, we have had no contractual or financial relationship with them. This appears to be a clear mistake. We have not had any communication with this individual in over three years and certainly no agreement for work. The complaint is vague, confusing, and evidently misplaced.Initial Complaint

I had to delay the job with EC and they were working with me on the date to start the work this September. So when I didnt call them on the date we agreed upon! I started getting calls from them during the day! I work from home and not always available to answer calls! So when I did not answer the call, the *** took it upon himself to just drop by my home during my working hours without a schedule or agreed upon time! I told him the first time please do not do this and I couldnt speak with him because I was working. Then he did it again on the following Monday! I was livid. I called his boss and his boss told him to do it! How unprofessional is that! Its a form of harassment and to make me speak with them! They asked questions that they have no right to ask. I would not deal with them at all! Plus they asked for more than the standard of 50% up front!Business Response

Hi Ed,
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and frustration you experienced during your recent interaction with our roofing service.
First and foremost, I'd like to clarify that the roofing inspector who contacted you is part of a lead service company that operates separately from us. We are referred by appointment, and I'm truly sorry if their approach felt pushy. We will address this behavior with the referral service to ensure it doesn't happen again.
Regarding the inspection and the insurance claim, Dillian, our roofer, identified significant storm damage, which is something we successfully assist clients with daily. However, we cannot control the final decision made by the insurance adjusters. Their assessment ultimately determine the outcome of any claims.
It's also important to note that insurance companies often raise rates based on the risk factors associated with an area, which includes the likelihood of storm damage. This increase can occur regardless of whether a claim is filed. If you feel penalized for using your insurance as intended, it may be worth considering a switch to a different provider that better suits your needs.
Lastly, I understand your frustrations and realize that our service did not meet your expectations this time. While we did not charge you for our services, we aim to leave every customer satisfied. If there is anything we can do to assist further or improve your experience, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Once again, apologies for any inconvenience caused, and thank you for your time.
Best regards,
******

I am rejecting this response because:First, I would like the name and contact information for your solicitation company so that I can contact them directly to file a complaint with them. I wish that no others have to experience what happened to me.
Second, your roofer reported numerous heavy storm damage areas. The insurance inspector did a very thorough inspection and responded in detail to each item that your roofer reported. She described each reported damaged area while your roofer listened. He did not disagree with any of his damage report items. None. He did not insist that there was any storm damage. I question his qualification to report storm damage. I am inclined to believe that he was primarily interested in selling me a roof job.
Third, I do not think that switching my insurance company is a fair recommendation to solve the problem that your actions created for me. Your roofer even said that my insurance company was fair in his experience.
I will await your information on your solicitor company for my further action.
Sincerely,
** *********Business Response

Hi Ed,
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We deeply regret that your experience with our service was unsatisfactory, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your points directly. We were in the process of explaining additional information to you before you told us we were annoying you and hung up on us and did not answer on the next call.
First, we understand your frustration regarding the referral company. Please contact them directly at the number that you talked to them on. We will not put out confidential company propriety information on a web platform for other competitors to steal relationships. We would have provided this to you, but you hung up on us and said we were too annoying. The referral network should have all calls recorded so they will be able to play you your initial call where you scheduled the inspection directly with them. If you feel it was done in error, we apologize, but we are not them and we only go to consumers who they refer. Contact them on the number you spoke with them on, and they can handle it as we have no affiliation with the referring of contractors and how they handle that.
Second, we value the integrity of our inspections and the qualifications of our roofers. It's concerning to hear about the discrepancies between our roofers report and the insurance inspectors findings. We will investigate this matter thoroughly to ensure that all our team members meet the highest standards of professionalism and accuracy. Your feedback will be used to improve our training and evaluation processes.
Lastly, suggesting a switch in your insurance provider was not intended to deflect responsibility. Our roofers comment about your insurance company being fair aligns with our commitment to resolving issues amicably. We apologize if the recommendation came across as inappropriate under the circumstances.
We are committed to making this right for you, *** We have over ***** insurance approved customers that we have worked with this year alone. *********** has had severe storm damage this storm season and every area has new roofs going up, daily as I am sure you are aware. We can NEVER guarantee full roof approvals which appears what you are saying we should have guaranteed to you. No professional roofing company can guarantee that. If you call your insurance company, the first thing they will say is have a roofer inspect your exterior to see if a claim is a viable option available. We saw in our determination storm damage and advised as such. We do not approve or deny claims. That is on your insurance carrier. To suggest we did this in bad faith is a ridiculous allegation that we take seriously.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We hope to restore your trust in our services.

I am rejecting this response because:I need to contact my roofer and have him inspect my roof for a third opinion about the extensive damage that your roofer reported. This may take a week or so to get back to you. I will reply back when I have my roofer's report.

I received a call today about settling my balance due on the roof I had put on, while I am in agreement that I have a balance due, the amount itemized is considerably more than the amount paid out by the insurance company, I told this person I would contact my adjuster and get an explanation but he simply kept demanding that I give him bank info or a debit card # immediately without consulting my insurance company. this person calling was unwilling to to explain why the charges on the bill were more and only said that if it wasnt paid by Monday he will be turning it over to legal, then hung up, very rude and unprofessional, Ive since talked to my insurance company and called the enterprise contracting 800 # 2 times and left messages each time to which they have not responded and never answered my question.Business Response

I had storm damage back in 04/15/2023, I have a contract and they were going to put a new roof on. Yesterday I watched them put a roof on someone else's house yesterday right across the street from me. I have been contact with them and they either tell me they can not get the shingles or the insurance company is delaying paying. I have already paid in the amount of $9,178.86. I have called the insurance company and the insurance company already gave me the money and I gave them the money. Now the business will not return my calls. I would like them to do the job or refund me the $9,178.86Business Response

August 2021, I contracted with this company to replace my entire roof, this was an insurance claim. The company started the roof replacement in November of 2021, but never completed the back part of my home. The owner is stating that it was not part of our contract, but that area was the area that was leaking and the main reason we filed a claim. I have spoke multiple times to my insurance company and they have told me that is was part of the contract and that the company was paid for the replacement already.Business Response

I totally understand and respect the frustration from ********** *******. Again, as we have explained for months, we were NOT contracted to do the flat roof of her home. I have attached (3) photos of the flat section that we did NOT do. I have attached the contract where you can clearly see NO mention of the flat roof. We built PER CONTRACT. Insurance may have paid for the flat roof, we do not know, but Enterprise Contracting Inc was not contractually scheduled to complete the flat roof. We did the main roof, and glad to hear she is NOT having issues with the work performed. But, again, clearly stated in the contract is what we completed to satisfaction. The flat roof is where she is leaking according to many of the notes documented. We have documented while doing a follow up inspection that this is where the issues are coming from. We would be happy to quote out the job, but it would be a new job.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: This company provided me a bid to replace my roof, never was I told the flat section would be excluded. The leaking issue is in the flat roof section, why would they replace the roof but not the most problematic areas. My insurance company paid them to repair that section and now they are wanting more money to correct the leaking section as they should have already done.

In March 2022 Enterprise Contracting installed new shingles on my home in Smithton MO. While installing the shingles one of my sky lights was damaged. Enterprise Contracting agreed to replace the sky light. However they were unable to get the correct size. The sky light was 14" wide and they were only going to provide a 22" wide sky light. Which I did not want. I have three other sky lights in the same room and wanted the replacement to match. They were unable to get the matching sky light and offered to allow me $800 to purchase and install the correct size. Which I did. I received the final full payment of $8648.71 from ***** **** for the insurance claim. I then sent a check to Enterprise Contracting for $7848.71 (the full claim amount less $800.00). Now Enterprise Contracting is demanding I send them the $800.00. I do not owe them the $800 because I purchased and installed the correct sky light myself, which they refused to do.Business Response

I never got a itemized list of the jobs I have hired them to do. I owe them money, I realize that. All I want is the itemized listing of what I am paying for. I am planning on paying them, I just want ot know what for.Business Response

The balanced owed is $4,850.61 + legal fees. This file is with our attorney to file a lien and lawsuit for damages. We have attached every single back and forth with the homeowner. We have documented mailed close out packets (3) times and we finally TAPED the closeout packet and demand for payment to their door. We have since driven by and seen the packet removed from the door. This is a stall tactic in paying their bill. We will be contacting insurance to let them know that they are not paying their final and are committing insurance fraud. We have uploaded this BBB complaint to the file and including in our lawsuit's discovery. Their statements of not receiving a bill is fraudulent, documented, and they are using the BBB as stalling / leverage. This complaint should be vetted and removed due to the games being played by these individuals. The BBB should be used to arbitrate legitimate complaints. This one is not. BBB can read every line of what was said by these individuals, and the confirmation photo of the placement of paperwork. See attached.
