      on April 10, 2022 at 9AM **** ******* received $650 via cashapp to purchase materials needed to install a paver pad. Mr. ******* has abandoned the project and does not respond to text messages or calls requesting he return the refund.

      This consumer cancelled the job.  I agreed to refund her money, less $150 for my time and effort.  I am waiting for refunds myself from various vendors.  When I get refunded, I'll refund her the balance.

      I learned about this company through a friend. I hired them to design and install landscaping and hardscaping. I paid through a third party payer, Venmo. I paid them $4788.90 over four payments. He did the planting, but planted them several weeks after they were purchased. Half the plants don't look like they are going to make it. None of the hardscaping has been done. I would estimate that not even one fourth of the work has been completed. He created other issues that are causing more problems, including a drain which is impacting my sump pump. He used duct tape to connect the two. He cut my internet line. I had to pay my provider $50 to come fix that. The plants that he did plant, he didn't plant properly, not down far enough into the ground, with roots showing. They are expensive hydrangeas. I asked for the invoices for the the plants and he would never give them to me. He didn't place the order for the hardscaping, because I called the nursery and they don't have a record of him ordering them. I don't want him to come back and finish the work.

      The bid is attached with dates and the full amount I paid. Troy drug this landscaping job on for months, making many excuses from rain to vehicle/equipment breakdowns. He was to build a concrete paver patio in my back yard. The side yard needed more dirt and sod. I also had him run an extension underground for my rain downspouts to drain towards the road instead of pooling onto the yard. He'd show up and do a few hours work then leave for days or weeks. I ended up having another company come tear out all of this work and redo it. It was left undone for so long that weather destroyed the work. I'm requesting a full refund from the original bid invoice.

      I am writing to address the claim against my business.  I did, in fact, submit a bid to Ms. Kubiric after coming out and looking at her paver pad project.  Ms. Kubiric's yard had extensive damage due to lack of sun to dry out her yard and 3 dogs who caused damage from running around in it.  Unfortunately, I experienced many hardships while trying to complete her project.  They included:  a broken down trailer, the loss of workers, supplies not readily available, personal health issues with family and it being Spring...a lot of rain.  As a result, we decided it best for me not to complete the project.  Ms. Kubiric's dogs and family had to walk on the paver pad before it was finally completed and with the rain, it caused many of the pads to slip prior to them being properly secured.  As a result, she decided to have someone else finish the work.  Initially, we agreed on an amount to refund but after scrutinizing the costs of materials, the use of my materials, driving around, and then labor, I do not think it would be right to issue a full refund because I cannot pay to work somewhere.  I completed a substantial amount of work and had to pay an employee during that time as well.  I hope Ms. Kubiric can understand.

      I am rejecting this response because:The business owner put it in writing that he would issue a refund.

      The hardships this business seems to have incurred are not my responsibility. The job was left in terrible condition. I had to hire another company to come and tear out all of Garden Starters work and start all over. They finished the entire job in three business days. It wasn't that difficult. Garden Starters drug this job out for months, allowing for weather and pets to walk on it. This was in a back yard, not an area that can be left unused and covered up.
