I purchased a 2016 Land Rover LR four from these people, purchased the extended warranty then a month later my water pump went out and my motor locked up. When I called to address the warranty to get it repaired, they said because it was the cooling system Its not a part of the engine and they would not cover it. Stlcarz would not return my phone calls or respond to any correspondence after this. I put $10,000 down at time of purchasing and still got no help. Stay away from these people.

The Warranty is thru the 3rd party Extended warranty ********************************************** and not with us. The consumer would need to contact his warranty company for this issue which is listed on the consumers contract.

I bought a 2004 Nissan Quest from Stl Carz in November for $6700, which was more $1,000 over market value for that vehicle considered to be in perfect shape. At first glance it appeared to be that way. It has low miles, and looks like it's been well maintained. The first question I asked the salesman was has it been sitting a long time. I specifically asked this because vehicles that sit can start popping seals and leaking fluids. I was told NO. It had not been sitting. The next question I asked was if it had any leaks. I was also told NO, it didn't have any leaks. So we bought it and took it home, and the first weekend we had it we noticed it was leaking oil. We took it to a local Nissan dealer and paid for a full diagnosis. It had three oils leaks and bad control arms. I contacted the dealership, and they took care of the oil leaks only, but it's since sprung at least one more. The control arms are so bad the wheels can't be aligned until they're fixed. This is a $1400 repair. The trunk also leaks water when it rains, so the van is useless for groceries considering there's always a puddle of water in there. All in all we feel ripped off. We bought a van for over market value that is supposed to be in perfect condition, yet it has over $2,000 worth of repairs that need to be done. We shouldn't have paid more than $3500 for a van in this condition.

    Hi,

The Nissan quest that was purchased from us was purchased with a passing safety inspection. we were not aware of any oil leaks on the vehicle at the time of the sale. customer test drove the vehicle and had the opportunity to get it checked by a mechanic before purchasing. we negotiated off the asking price based on the customer request. vehicle was purchased AS-IS with no implied warranties. after the purchase, when the customer brought up the issue of an oil leak, we went ahead and got it diagnosed by a mechanic shop and got it repaired despite the vehicle being as is. We did so due to us being good stewards of our business and in an effort to preserve the customer experience. as far as the value of the vehicle, the purchase price was below the market value on ****** and the customer made the decision to purchase our vehicle based on what is available in the market. we apologize that the customer experience was not ideal , as a vehicle that is almost 20 years old can develop certain issues due to age.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: they are being disingenuous. I purchased the vehicle based off of what they told me, and clearly that was a lie. I was told it didn’t have leaks, and I was also told it didn’t sit for a long time. One of those statements is a lie, and I’m assuming it’s the latter. I’m assuming the vehicle sat for a long period of time which is why it’s steadily popping seals. Passing safety has nothing to do with this situation. Their misleading sales tactics lead to me buying a van for more than it is worth. Filing this complaint is just the first step in finding remedy. The next step is filing against them in small claims court. For the record, this van has had these issues since we first bought it, and we haven’t even put $3,000 miles on it since then. This dealership’s willingness to rip people off and deny any wrongdoing is repulsive.

    Sincerely,

    ****** ******

I was approved on June 18th. A few days later they called and asked me to come up because there was a problem with the paperwork. Now they won't release the title until the loan comes from the back. I called the bank and they say they have no record of an application from me, or any other paperwork. I can't get tags until they release the title. I have to call and change my insurance. They ate suddenly giving me the run-around, In addition, the clutch has gone out, and the emergency brake doesn't work.

when the original paperwork was completed, there was an unintentional error on the paperwork. we contacted the customer to correct the error.  Mr. ***** re-signed all the necessary paperwork. Mr. ***** has a copy of all the documents in his possession. Title has been available for pickup and we have contacted the customer about that . to the best of our knowledge, the vehicle did not have any mechanical issues. Clutches are not covered as it depends on the experience of the driver to operate a manual transmission and the clutch can be worn out easily if the driver has no experience driving a vehicle with a manual transmission.
