I bought a ford focus from them and the front end wasn't right and fell on the street when I was driving. He put a plate on that side. He didn't put tires on it or sway bars on it or the stabilizers so it made the car go all over the road. He kept saying it was just the tires. He took the car back and gave me something else. Well he wanted the car back and another down payment so I'm out more money. This car was a 2004 Chevrolet impala. the tires were worn, the rackateer was gone. I had it about three weeks and it needed motor mounts on it. He said he would fix the car. $1,400 down and 300 a month for a 2009 Chevrolet impala. I went to see my kids in Texas and took my daughter back to Memphis. I felt something snap under my feet. The car went out of control. Thank God nobody got injured or hurt. He was supposed to fix that the day before I went out of town but he didn't. He was supposed to put brakes, a hub assembly, and he said he did it all but there's no way he did because the car just dropped down on top of the wheels and was just out there spinning around. They are charging me $817 for the damage. I've put money into three cars from him. The car is totaled.Business response

I put him in one car and he drove off and destroyed that car in a few months. I put him in another car and he tore the transmission out of that in just a few months. I wrote off $2,100 of that car. I got a down payment on the new one he got because I wasn't gonna give him a free one again. He's had that car for 7-8 months. He always chooses to tear these cars up and drives like an idiot and that's why they keep having problems. I have records to prove everything I've done to help.Customer response

That is not true. The first car did not have a stabilizer link. It failed when I was taking children to school. He said it didn't need a stabilizer link. Then he charged me for the towing of the car. The second car was swaying and caused me to hit a deer. The second one I only had $500 left on it. The guy he sold the car to drove the car very fast. He wanted another down payment for every car he has given me. All the cars he gives me have issues that need fixed. He stated everything he was going to fix but didn't. The receipt had things on it he did not do. He did not replace a light or the oil. Before I left, how could he have changed the oil when I got it changed at Valvoline? I told him where the car was and somebody went and bought the car from auction. I want him to give me my down payments back for each and every car I bought from him.Initial Complaint

June 30th signed paperwork and gave $2500 down on an 03 jag. Was told didnt have title because it just came from auction. They sd they had to send off for it and it would come bak to them and i could pick The title up. I am only one on paperwork. I talked to the finance company Aug 19th and told them i was getting over covid and would try to maKe a payment the next week. Aug 27th dealer comes takes car. Says finance didnt hear from me. Call to get car back. Dealer informs me my ex was on my title and they gave him the title. Im only one signed papers and was supposed be only one on title.i was told if he comes up with past due before me he can come get car. I sd they werent supposed to add him to my title without my permission and i had Been waiting on title to get legal. Sept 3rd i get a letter in mail sayin my loan was in default and in 5 days it would be at risk of repo. But they already took the car a week prior. I am not paying for a car my ex is able to take because of themBusiness response

Response taken over phone by BBB staff:
******* ****** *** **** ******* ***** both come into our office and made this purchase on a 5 year payment note. On 6/30 they made a $2,000 down payment, not $2,500. They have never made any payments since. The first payment was due 7/14 and wasn't paid, the next payment was due 7/28 and wasn't paid, the next was 8/11 and wasn't paid and then we sent it out for repo and it was repoed on 8/28/21 with no payments to date. The title was given to **** ******* ******
