I called Als on June 13 to confirm a vehicle part was in stock and get the price. The man on the phone stated it was there and ready to go so I said Im on my way. I got a Lyft and rented a U-Haul to go buy the part but when I got there the guy says the transmission is actually bad and they dont have any more at the moment. Then he tells me if I can wait until June 14 he will have a better transmission for me and itll be ready at 9am. He said its currently in the warehouse and has to be brought up. He told me to call to confirm in the morning before I came. On June 14 I called to confirm if the transmission that was placed on hold for me was available. I was told yes and its ready to go. After having a back and forth with the rude man on the phone I then got ANOTHER Lyft and rented ANOTHER U-Haul. I get there and they sold me a transmission with an extra ******+ miles and when I asked why I was sold the wrong transmission they told me the one I originally had on hold is not there. I asked where is it and what to do and they gave me HORRENDOUS service and answers. It resulted in me having to return said part and I also lost money due to having to order FOUR Lyft rides and TWO U-Haul rentals. I spent $135 just in U-Haul rentals and over $50 in Lyft fees to walk away empty handed and with a theres nothing we can do accompanied by TRIFLING attitudes and service. I also spent $380 on a transmission just to return it 3 mins later. Yes I got my transmission back but Im still at an almost $200 loss in transportation fees due to them telling me the parts where there, available, and ready.Initial Complaint

On 6/28/2022, I purchased an engine for our 2014 Mini Cooper automobile. The engine assembly was advertised as complete with turbo, 90 day warranty and having 33k miles. The total with shipping to **** ********** *********** ** ********** ** was $2860.00 USC. During the course of the installation, the installer notified me if missing components which included the turbo and oil filter housing. The cost of these two items were almost $2000. When asked about the items, the seller stated that they were on the motor when it left the salvage yard. The engine was installed and it was determined that the #3 cylinder was bad (low compression). When asked about the warranty, the seller stated that the car would have to be towed to. Mini Dealer to perform the same compression test, this would cause further expenses which are not justified. Given the unsettling nature of this entire transaction, I did a CARFAX of the donor vehicle and found that the internet advertised and seller verified mileage of 33k was fraudulent and that the vehicle had in excess of 81,000 miles prior to when it was declared a total loss. The seller’s fraudulent misrepresentation of the property, the missing items and denial of the warranty claim are the basis for my refund request. Respectfully, ******* ********Business response

Customer purchased a Mini Cooper engine on 7/6/22 (please see attached) and was shipped out shortly thereafter. All of Al's engines are always complete with turbo with a standard 30 day warranty, however this customer was given a 90 day warranty. Al's received an email from *** ******** stating that there was no turbo on our engine when it was at his shop which is false since our turbos are left on our engines. The donor engine's Mini Cooper was purchased from an insurance auction called IAAI on 6/14/22 (please see attached). The insurance auction had the miles listed as 31,032, however when the vehicle arrived at Al's the vehicle was started and the mileage was was found to be 33,251 which is the correct mileage and was listed on our website correctly. Al's engines are compression checked before they leave. It has be a recurring problem with BMW engines that if the mechanic is not familiar with BMW engines something goes wrong during installation, which was why a Mini Dealer was suggested to inspect the engine. So to reiterate, the Mini Cooper engine was complete with turbo with 33,251 miles on it as listed and in full working condition when it left Al's Auto Salvage.
Thank you for your time
