They claim is was opened in May 13 2024 and it knocked down my credit score by 47 points!!!! I have been working on improving my credit for well over a year and have done incredibly well raising it over 120 points. I am extremely frustrated and upset. This needs to be fixed immediately this is not right or fair at all!!!

I have never dealt with Consumer Adjustment Company, but they placed a collection accounts on all 3 credit bureaus for $388 on my credit reports. I NEVER received documentation. I am a victim of ID theft. I have submitted a ID theft police report with all 3 major bureaus. There is no contractual agreement that I owe any alleged debt to Consumer Adjustment Company. A DEBT collector MUST offer proof of the debt as owed by providing copies of the signed instrument or judgment from the original creditor. The basis for my dispute with Consumer Adjustment Company is that they was required to notify me prior to 7/2024, or no later than 30 days after. Consumer Adjustment Company failed to notify me about reporting derogatory info. to Equifax, Experian, and Transunion In section 603(p) 15 U.S.C. ss 168s-2(a)(7)(A)(I); The notice required under subparagraph (A) shall be provided to the customer prior to, or no later than 30 days after 07/2024, furnishing the negative derogatory information to a consumer reporting agency described in section 603 (p), 15 U.S.C. ss 1681s-2(a)(7)(B)(I). Plus, Consumer Adjustment Company broke commercial law under Article 9 of the *** states that all notices were timely and properly given by dated certified mail receipt. They were not met. I asked for documentation & received no response. Also, Consumer Adjustment Company failed to give me my 5 days prior to placing this derogatory item on all my credit reports, per Section 809, which is $1000 per violation and under Section 807(1) Consumer Adjustment failed to send me my initial communication before placing this alleged derogatory status on my credit reports further violating the FDCPA.If Consumer Adjustment Company continue collection activity with not shown me ANY PROOF, nor the *** OR CFPB i will be FILING A REPORT WITH THE TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE.
