      Dr. ********************** Hills practice had my insurance provider, Delta Dental, send my portion of coverage check to THEM instead of it coming to me. This after I already had to pay for services up front - I paid them thousands and they had the nerve to do that and I never received one statement for anything, much less one showing they had $407 of insurance money that was mine as credit. I found out about it after I changed dentists and received a check from Delta Dental within two weeks of that appointment and made me wonder why I never received money back from the appointments I had with ************ from Oct-Dec 2023. Isnt this insurance fraud?? I never authorized my money to go to them and I still wouldnt have known had I not gotten the check from my new dentist. I physically went to Dr ***** office to ask about it, and was told their patients like to have credit in their account. REALLY?? They also lied and said I should have received a statement, and theyve never sent me a statement of any kind ever. Also, this is after I notified them that I was switching dentist! They never told me I had money there. Unbelievable. Theres more about this practice, but this is the worst out of it all. Its been eight days since I went to his office, and nobody has follow-up with me, nor have I received my $407 they kept. The front desk person I spoke to, ********, was smug and rude as well. What a terrible experience here all the way around.

      These comments represent a gross mischaracterization of the actual events that transpired. Our office did see this patient in November 2023 and we did collect a copayment from her based on the estimate provided from her dental insurance company. Upon submitting her insurance claim, her insurance paid significantly more than was originally estimated. We received payment from the insurance company for this visit in mid-January (more than 6 weeks after patient's office visit). Immediately upon receipt of payment from the insurance company, the patient's account reflected her credit and continued to reflect that credit until the credit accounts were processed. This all occurred within 30 days of receipt of the insurance company payment. This patient was mailed a refund check AND a Statement of Account. We understand this patient was upset that her visit occurred in November and her refund was processed in early February, however, this is because the patient's insurance company did not submit payment until 6 weeks after patient's office visit. Patient was provided her credit back within 30 days of our office receiving payment from her insurance company. This patient was provided quality dental care, we were able to obtain insurance benefit on this patient's behalf IN EXCESS of what was estimated, and we refunded the patient within 30 days of the receipt of payment. This patient's frustration should be characterized as frustration with how long her insurance company took to make a payment and should not reflect poorly on our practice or the actions of our team.
