I retained this firm for $3500 to do a spend down program for my mother before she went into a nursing home. She died before they got to do the spend down program. I have a copy of everything. I wrote them a letter about returning of unused retainer for my mother. I asked to return to me any unused retainer and asked for a printout of legal services provided before my mom&#**;s death. They responded to me with an itemized bill but I don&#**;t agree with it. I told them I would like to receive back $2,089 for the services not used.

Our firm is in receipt of your correspondence regarding the complaint of *****************
Our firm did represent **************** to assist him in trying to preserve the assets of Mr. ********* mother, *****************************, and ultimately obtain ******** for this mother. **************** was aware that his mother was well over assets and certain steps would have to be taken to preserve much of her assets as possible. He was also aware that his mother was unfortunately in poor health and could pass during the course of our project.
Our firm took all of the necessary steps to assist **************** in preserving the assets of ***************************** and to provide **************** with transfer instructions that would A) preserve the assets of ***************************** and B) be in the best interests of the family.
It is unfortunate that ***************************** passed away prior to all work being completed; however, our firm did expend time to preserve ********************************* assets.
If **************** would permit our firm to provide the BBB an accounting of our work, we would be more than happy to do so.

All I want them to do is refund me my money that is mine. They are stalling and stalling and stalling. I don't call them because every time I call them there is a service fee charged for it and I am not speaking to the attorney, I'm speaking to the receptionist. I called to tell them that your my mother was dead. Just refund me my money so we can stop the games.Customer response

This issue has been resolved. The business has refunded me $2017.00, They did not send the full refund but I am tired of dealing with this.
