I am reporting on behalf of my elderly mother. The name of the company is Britt and Son's Contracting, but are also under a few other business names. My Mom lost over $10,000 from **** ***** that was supposed to repair her deck, when only he made it worse and won't come back out to fix it. **** ***** came out in August to give my Mom a quote to repair her deck. His first quote was $7000 but by the end of everything it totaled to more than $10,000. He was supposed to repair the deck because it was rotted, but then told my mom that it wasn't. He replaced the railings and the decking, which isn't bolted correctly and the railing is not secure. Everything was not cut correctly, the facia was has gaps and falling off. There are several rotted posts. It is very unsafe for anyone to walk on. My Mom didn't notice those things before paying him. She is just an elderly woman who thought everything was fine, until we came from out of town to look at it. He never showed any permits and when my Mom tried calling him to come out and fix it, he wouldn't answer and when he finally answered, he was rude. He came out once to say he was going to fix some bolts, but never did. He won't answer any calls. I looked up reviews and he has gone to court over this before. He is very ignorant and has no respect towards his customers and takes advantage of the elderly. He even says lies about them. I just want my Mom to get her deck fixed correctly and for someone to look into his business since he has been a fraud for so long. I put my Mom's number but my email, since she can't check emails. I can upload pictures if my Mom can figure out how to upload them. If not, the next time we are in town, we can take them. Or if possible someone can go out to her home?
