There was a storm at my property on *** **** **** ********** ** ***** on July 07, 2021 that did considerable structural damage. The contents of the house were destroyed and I sought to get compensation from the insurance company for the insured contents. I have been with this insurance company, making monthly auto-draft payments of $31.33 to insure the contents of this property, for over years. I filed a claim in August for this property because of the damage from the storm and they denied my claim. They stated that they would only pay for structural damage and not the contents. As of today, i have not received anything from the insurance company. I have been calling the adjuster, Howard (phone number ************* and he talked to me a couple of times and said he would look into the matter. I received a denial letter in August stating that your damage was not covered and then they canceled my insurance but continued to take two more payments from my bank account. In October I received another letter stating that they tried to reach me to explain my denial, but I never received anything from them since August. I would like to get a better explanation of why I could not be compensated for the value of what I had been paying insurance to this company to cover in case of storm or fire. I feel I should get something for the payments I had been making and so far i have not received anything but a denial. I would like to have a better expanation of what the policy was supposed to be covering since I was paying for content coverage.Business response

I have reviewed the claim and letters that were sent to Mr. ***** in this matter. Several calls have been made by our Claims adjuster to reach Mr. ***** to discuss the claim, but Mr. ***** does not answer or return the calls. I myself called him today and my call went straight to voicemail; however, the voicemail was full and I was unable to leave a message. Mr. *****’s policy has not been cancelled as he states in his complaint. I will be more than happy to talk with Mr. ***** if he would like to call me directly at ************Customer response

I reached out to the company and so did the adjuster and I haven't heard anything.
