The dentist implied to me that they took my insurance and my cleaning would be covered, but in reality they were out of network and I had to pay over $400 out of pocket for a simple cleaning. Both the insurance company and the dentist are pointing fingers at each other.Business response

There was never any mention of us being in Network nor asked if we were. I have the voice recording. In our new patient welcome letter that we request that the consumer provide any current x-ray for review prior to appt. if not then we will have to take the x-ray. Consumer did not provide any current x-ray. When we took the x-ray we submitted them to insurance they denied the claim due to the time frame. We did the X-ray, and cleaning with fluoride. Consumer portions was left much higher. We do have a 48 cancellation policy. Consumer called the night before to cancel the appt. Consumer sent in a payment and she ended up with a $33.00 credit which was refunded back to the patient.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
When I told you my insurance, you should have said no we are not in network for that and warned me in advance. Also, the only reason I had to cancel early was because I received the notification from my insurance that day.
