On 5/26/23 the movers arrived at 8:45am and completed packing my apartment at 12 noon. I had several issues with this experience. They moved very slowly, they did not follow my instructions on placing my walker in last so I would be able to easily access it, they did not place my boxes that were marked in the designated areas at the new place, and they charged me a different price than I was originally quoted. I was told it would cost no more than $700 over the phone the week prior, but they charged me $1,338.50. I paid $700 cash, and wrote a check for $338.50. Since then I have stopped payment of the check from going through.Business response

We never give a total upfront, also elevator slow down move drastically consumer was on the third floor. Where consumer was coming from had long walk and elevator. We do have signed contract. We always recommended three men and knew that using two men with elevator would slow the process of moving. Consumer told one of her neighbors that was scheduled to move with us a that we quoted a set price and they ended up canceling their move with up. We never quote a price upfront.Initial Complaint

I hired this company for a move on July 1, 2021. A member of the moving team sexually harassed and assaulted me during the move. On a lesser note, the team also tracked mud onto brand new carpet even though the contract stated floors would be protected. I brought this to the company and they fired the employee, yet did not make it right be me (the customer). They also said I would have to pay $100 for them to come make the carpet right.Business response

Please see the attached contracts signed by the customer. Please note that on page one the customer signed off stating that there were no damages or complaints. Please also note page two where the customer signed agreeing that should a claim arise, she agrees to pay a $100 deductible.
Mrs. ********* waited a considerable amount of time after her move to make any complaints. when she did call in the claim she insisted that she be refunded for the entire cost of her move. We discussed the issues that she had with the crew and all three of the men in question where taken by complete surprise by the accusations. The movers said that Mrs. ******* answered the door with one breast out feeding her baby. The movers said that they were shocked at first when they observed this. What may have been misconstrued as sexual harassments , we think, was really just shock. we have absolutely no proof that any sexual harassments happened on the job site. Because of this we could not justify refunding the entire cost of Mrs. ******** move.

ABC advertises having professional & insured overs. We used them to move from IL to MO. However, ABC movers: broke multiple items, refused to move half of the items, did not pack the truck to capacity, asked my husband to fix the lift gate, and pack the truck. They filled our empty trash can with soda cans & took an hour and a half lunch, put a hole in our apartment floor, and hand screwed our dinning room table back together, because they left their tools at the other house. We have a baby who is learning to walk and the movers left a hazard for our baby! And so many other things outlined in the email attached and shown in the photos. The next day ABC refused to take my phone call. So, I blocked my number and got through, they hung up on me. I made a bad review on social media and they blocked me. I could not file an insurance claim with them, so I stopped the payment on my credit card. And I had to move the rest of my stuff after closing on the house. I also sent an email.Business response

We have insurance and a claims process we provide. A complete refund is not justified based on claims or on the clients inability to be truthful. Please submit a claim in writing and we will gladly process a claim. The team worked tirelessly and completed the contracted service agreement. A signed copy of this agreement is available upon request.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
The company did not fulfil the contract and was provided proof that their workers did not fulfil the contract. There was proof of multiple items left behind. As well as proof of multiple damages. I have sent a written request about the issues with movers and attached it to the original complaint. As for this company, your inability to answer the phone nor at least try to rectify the situation proves that you are the liars. I will send another written and signed complaint as well. Your company has yet to justify getting payment from my credit card and their investigation, because you have no proof that your workers were not neglectful nor trained.
