JLW Ready Construction did an excellent job. I love my remodel basement. This is the basement I have been dreaming of.

JLW came to our house on January 1, 2022. We were not expecting him because it was a holiday, The New Year. We couldn't believe he showed up to start working. We had guest. He told us he would contact us when he was ready to start work, so we thought that was unusual and inappropriate but we let him start because we had waited several months for his service to install our new flooring. He ripped the old flooring out in two hours and left it for the day. It took several days and phone calls for him to give a date when he would return. He promised he would come on a Sunday but did not show up. He never comes when he says he will. We have learned he does not seem to have a set schedule to do the work, he just shows up when he's ready. He showed up days later with his son and started laying the floor. They did a couple hours of work and left. He is not a finisher. He laid a nice floor but did not put down the finishing strips or do other finishing steps to complete his job. He left his equipment in my living rooms for weeks. I had to call him to come get it. I polished my own floor. That was his part to to do as finishing steps to complete the look of the floor. When he came to get his equipment he saw I polished the floor and quickly took a photo of it for his portfolio, which I did not like. He did not have my permission to take pictures of my work as if it were his own.His wife was the interior painter and she did a terrible job. Her work was sloppy and incomplete. She is also the manager. I had to ask for my receipts for the job they did many times through phone calls, text messages and emails before she responded via email as if I were bothering her. She was nasty and rude when I tried to complain about the nails they left sticking ** in the floor and asked for my receipts after she had collected my money.Overall, they are not professional and I would not recommend him to do any work. You will regret it.

JLW Ready Construction was contacted provide a quote for painting the exterior of our home. Upon contacting JLW, they came out to provide a quote for painting the exterior of the house which included, them purchasing wood to be used to replace portions of damaged wood as necessary. We agreed to reimburse JLW for the cost of the wood. The communication after the contract was signed lacked greatly. They did not make us aware that they would be hiring a contractor (not employed by them) to do the paint job. There was also nothing in the contract that stated this. This person came out to our home for two days, then there was rain. After the rain stopped, he didnt return. We didnt hear anything from JLW about what was going on with this person or when/if he would be returning. After a few days of not hearing anything, WE contacted JLW to find out what was going on and when the work would continue on the house. They advised that person was sick and would not be returning so there would be someone else to come paint. They then hired another person to work on painting but had no knowledge of their schedule and was not aware that he had other jobs which would prevent him from finishing our house within a certain timeframe. In addition, the owner was responsible for purchasing the wood needed to replaced damaged areas, but we had to remind him several times that the painting was progressing and he still had not gotten the wood. We had quite a bit of rain during this time, which we all understood was a possibility, but they did not reach out after the rain stopped to let us know when they would return to continue working. This was the theme throughout as we had to consistently reach out to them to find out what was going on and push for completion. Unaware to us, the painter left, believing the job was done, but it was not complete. The manager called stating she was going to stop by and pick up the final payment to which we stated no, as the job was not completed yet. There was still a nice portion of the house that needed to be finished along with the wood piece that still needed to be replaced in order to paint over it. After purchasing about 4 blocks of wood, they only used approximately it but wanted to charge us for everything that was purchased.Upon final completion of the job, the manager returned to take pictures for social media without our consent and since we were not happy with the service, we were not ok to have our home placed on social media as if we were a satisfied customer. I will not say dont patronize this business, but I will say to be clear about timelines, contractors, materials, and every single thing that will be happening during the job. Ask questions at the beginning so this wont happen to you!
