      I contracted with the owner, **** to repair two leather recliners. He said two weeks completion. It was a couple of days over that. Not my complaint. The leather that was used for replacement parts does not match the original leather. I called and asked for the owner to call back. No call. They certainly cashed the check quickly.

      We did do the repair work.  We advised him the leather would be similar to the color he had originally.  We suggested it would better to reupholster both seats, so they would match.  We let him know it would not be an exact match of leather, it would only be similar if we just did the repairs.  It would be slightly off where you could tell where the repair was made.  He was okay with that.  We picked up the supplies and did the work.  As advised it the beginning, it did not match perfectly, but it was similar.   When we delivered the recliners, he stated he was okay with it.  He called us after the complaint was filed to say he wasn't happy with the service.  He didn't mention anything at the time the furniture was delivered.   We can't fix something if we don't know it is a problem.  We allow customers one week to let us know if they are not satisfied with our work.  We have tried to work with him to come up with a solution, but they were unacceptable to him.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The offer from the owner was to dye the two recliners or repair in places.   I do not recall that he said the leather would not match.  It is not even "similar", his word.  I did not agree to "slightly off".  

      The recliners were delivered by two delivery person and they were shrink wrapped.  I asked them to take it off.  Immediately, I told them that the leather did not match, was not even close to similar.  I never said that I was "okay with them".  Immediately, I attempted to stop the check from clearing.  Unlike the deposit which was deposited over a week after exchanging hands.  This check, after my complaint, was deposited immediately and could not be stopped.  They have NOT called me to work out any solution.
