Overall I am glad we went through Straight Up to get our panels installed. They were the third company we worked with to get panels installed on our house and the one company to actually follow through and get them. The first company ended up going bankrupt and the second company had delay after delay, so never saw them even come out to assess the house, we waited about a year and they still couldn't get the permits, thus we tried one more company, and I'm glad we did. We had some hurdles and road blocks with some getting some of the permits, with getting Ameren cooperating sometimes, and quite a bit with some of the electrical inspectors, but Straight Up handled the issues well and we got our panels and battery in the end. To be fair, while the issues were annoying and caused a good amount of delays, it wasn't Straight Up's fault, so 5-Stars for their service and handling of the issues! They also did a great job keeping in contact to keep me in the loop and give me updates on the status of the project.

We recently decided to take the solar plunge, being 70+ years old we knew wed never recover the cost of the investment even with the current incentives available in ********. For **, the prime motivation was Energy Independence/Security. After contacting five solar companies we chose Straight Up Solar (***) what struck us was their no-pressure presentation by ************* and ensuring all our concerns and needs were addressed on the spot. We got down into the weeds with in-depth discussions of the equipment being suggested and any options. After discussing system performance and our needs we opted to oversize the ** system (scaled to cover 125% of our annual average consumption) as Phase 1. Phase 2 in 12 to 18 months when well add whole house battery backup. They tweaked our system many times and once we had a design that met all our needs both today and into the future, we selected them. *************** was assigned as our Project Manager and was instrumental in pulling this all together while entertaining our last-minute changes and a myriad of questions. The *** team did everything, all we needed to do was provide info as requested and sit back. Their installation team came from Mid-**************** and ****, *****, and ***** were detail-orientated craftsmen. Drilling holes, making complex electrical connections, and climbing all over a new house are stressful, they eased our concerns. Their work passed all the required inspections on the first inspection. **** from *** was the on-site supervisor and a pleasure to work with. We felt comfortable leaving our home in his hands. Our system was commissioned on Sept 20th and received our PTO the very next day.In conclusion, the entire process from Straight Up Solar exceeded all of our expectations. It's been a pleasure working with this team and will use *** for our whole house battery backup project next year. *** and ******************************* USAF Retired ******* **

I had a great experience with Straight Up Solar from the initial inquiry, project cost estimate, installation and system Go Live. There were no surprises and they delivered as promised. They have been very transparent and completed the Project on time. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in installing a Solar System.

StraightUp Solar was extremely easy to work with and walked me through the process each step of the way. I love that they are local and will be here for the long term. They have answered any question we have and encourage them to be asked. We had other solar companies come and talk before choosing them and I know we made the right choice.

We got our first electric bill yesterday after having our 6.5 kW solar array installed for a month. Our bill was for $71. Prior to that we paid $154 every month (budget billing)! As for StraightUp Solar, the installation went great, we barely knew they were even here, and they were real good about answering all my questions - and there were a lot!
