I rented chairs from Amerevent for my wedding on 7/31/21. The chairs we received were damaged, dirty, and a lot of them were broken. The people setting up the chairs were ridiculously unprofessional. A lady was screaming and cussing on the phone while setting up chairs about her social security benefits. I let the unprofessionalism slide and forgot about the awful chairs because it was my wedding day. A few days after my wedding, a representative from our venue called and informed us that the delivery drivers had driven under an awning, hit the awning and damaged the building. I gave them Amerevent's contact information. The representative from the venue called us this week and let us know that Amerevent said the damage was my responsibility because the driver and delivery setup people do not work for Amerevent. I will absolutely NOT be paying for damages that were directly caused by Amerevent. They need to pay for the damages.Business response

******** ****** (customer) made no comment whatsoever before or the 30 days after her event that she disliked the chairs she received. All chairs are inspected and wiped down during setup and any found to be damaged or broken are replaced. These chairs are used weekly without complaint. After reviewing the inventory we can find nothing to support the complaint and believe it is suspect.
******** requested Amerevent hire an independent contractor on her behalf to do the delivery and setup of her chairs and agreed to be responsible for all damages to the event site unless she purchased the insurance we offered her. She refused the insurance. She also was required by the contract to send a "sitemap" disclosing any obstacles and their heights at the delivery venue but failed to do this as well. We understand the delivery truck made an 8 inch scratch on an awning that was the same height as the truck. We know people are busy however damage could have been avoided if the clear instructions given in the contract were followed. Unfortunately ******** is responsible for the outcome.
