My car was parked in an out of the way parking spot at a local gas station for 4 days due to a highway pothole eating a tire and snow that day after parked. No one in entire area had my special size tire in stock so I had to order one and wait 4 days to ship. The gas station attendant said that would be fine. When the tire came in and I went to retrieve the wheel from the car the car was gone, towed at a different managers request and all I could do was call a number on a small sign clear on the other side of the building. Car was towed on 1st, I called company on the 3rd to inquire about costs and whereabouts of my car, $1070 is what the lady said, outrageous and they took my car 22mi out of the way. As ridiculous as the price was I tried the entire next day, a Friday, with family help to get my car returned but there were too many hoops to jump through, only open 10am-3pm, called they said yes to pay over phone with 9% fee, called back to pay and oh cash only for impounds they said! I could not leave work before 3pm and begged someone to be there at 330 so I had time to bounce around several ATMs to come up with their schemed up amount but no, no one could be available to allow me to get my car and personal property back. Of course no one available on weekends for any reason and here it is now Monday the 7th I've been calling both numbers those crooks gave me and no one will answer and no one will return my calls, and to find out the operator on phone lied about my cars actual location and I've been trying every option in my reach to make it happen for days now. I've had plenty of time to consult and research predatory towing and storage and they're just racking up fees @75$ day storage, 400$ to tow w no key, 80$ admin fee, 300$ towing over 50mi when from car to their lot is 22mi one way, $this, $fee that, my entire tax return for this?! local chamber of commerce and BBB get emails, looking for a good lawyer to end this theft. This company was called out to tow my car and not only did they tow my vehicle the driver was so pleasant. He explained to me that they generally do not transport customers in the tow truck so I called and Uber and he waited with me to ensure I was safe. Now that to me was great customer service and I was able to relax some because it was dark and I wasn't alone. Thanks Express Towing you guys are great.
