Bill's boat stuff Does not leak test or warranty his sales! He sold me a center toon for a pontoon boat that has a crack next to the weld. The crack is where the tin tube aluminum comes in contact with the thicker structural aluminum so You burn threw the thin before the thicker gets hot enough. He has issues with the cost of a welding shop in Colorado compared to his brother or neighbor in Salem, Missouri.

I already responded to BBB to this buyer's review (See attachment 1)

In response to this complaint, I provide the following additional information:

      1.  Since the buyers review, he has increased by emails to me from $150 to 500 what he wants - price gouging.

      2.  I do leak test, but do not provide a warranty on an as-is purchase - I give money back on return of the item.

      3.  The pin-hole leak (See Attachment 2) can be TIG welded to repair the leak - It was welded in the original build and did not burn through.

Buyer may return the tube in its original condition for a refund of the purchase price - does not include freight.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
It's already been installed on the boat and the boat has had a floor replaced after installing the toon. That means I would have to remove my new floor.
$150 is what I thought it would cost to have it welded and $400 to $800 is what I have had quotes for. I'm not a welder and don't make the prices for welding, so how is that price gouging. He can pay the welder directly so he knows I'm not making money on him. He doesn't leak test, other wise he would have known it leaked. Or he leak tested it knew it leaked and shipped it any way. I can't bevieve anyone would sell a boat tube that isn't water tight. It's like selling a boat but not telling the buyer it has a hole. It leaked as soon as it was on the water from a bad weld that cracked. I never said burnt. I want everyone to know he doesn't He doesn't leak test or warranty his work.

      Sincerely,

      ***** *****

The leak may have been caused by improper use (hitting an object in the water or beaching the boat on a shore) - I have no way of knowing what caused the leak.  The welding can be done while the boat is still on the trailer according to my welder.  Where you get it welded is up to the buyer.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
It leaked as soon as I got it in the water, before I got it off the trailer.
He already said he didn't leak test it.
How would I crack a bad weld. putting my trailer in the water?

      Sincerely,
