I had gotten my shingles and fascia replaced in 2018 due to some leaks I had. Happy Roofing completed the job, charging roughly $11,000. Included in this, was a 10 year warranty on their work.Starting a few months after, shingles would randomly just fall off the roof, and I would need to call them to have them put back up. This never stopped. I've had to call them every few months since then to have shingles fixed. They used to tell me that the reason is because the crew that did it, wasn't a very good crew and apologized profusely. Told me those particular men didn't work for them anymore. The reasoning didn't matter, as they kept falling. Then I was told it was because of a manufacturing problem with the shingle themselves, and they would need to contact the manufacturer to possibly re-do the roof. This hasn't happened either. I've called this year several times, and still haven't gotten my shingles fixed. I still have two years left on this warranty.Business response

The customer came into our office today to discuss this. We have went out to the house anytime there was an issue. We are working on a more long term solution.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference tocomplaint ID ********, and yes, it is true that I went to their office to confront them. I found that there seems to be some miscommunication, as messages were not being delivered to them by their answering service. Also, we did discuss some long term solutions to the issues that were ongoing. Was supposed to hear back from them today, Thursday September 5th, but have not. It is now 5pm. I had to send them a message again, but have not heard back.

Contractor did not install proper vents which caused mold issuesBusiness response

We didnt do anything wrong on this project, we installed the roof per our contract and after several months we were contacted saying there was trapped moisture however the roof was not leaking.
I agreed to install a few vents in order to allow the roof to breathe better but there is not any evidence this was coming from the roof, in fact we were told that he notice moisture on the brick. I ordered the vents and was going to install them however there have been 6 working days in the month of February. You cant work on roofs if there is snow on them.
I have been in communication with this customer and offered to fix this at my own expense, in fact I spoke to the customer last night and he seemed fine, he said his cell phone was not receiving texts. At this point I'm not willing to move forward. This claim is very unfair and our company offered to help with a issue that we did not create.
He can pay for the vents that we purchased and have a contractor of his choice install them.

I am rejecting this response because:
I believe that the contractor should have installed the vents upon installation of the roof. The moisture trapped under the roof they installed has created a mold issue in my home

I purchased a home in June 2021 which came with a 5 year transferrable warranty on the roof. The roof had just been repaired within 3 months of the purchase. In late August I noticed wet spots in the ceiling and on the walls. I reached out to the roofing company and was advised that it may be a tuckpointing issue of which the seller had been made aware, but a technician would go out and take a look at it. The technician went out while no one was home and said he looked at it and thins it’s a tuckpointing issue. I had someone come out and look at the exterior walls and was advised the wetness is NOT a tuckpointing issue, so I called the company back to try scheduling an appointment. I’ve called several times (09/06, 09/16, 09/22, 09/29/2021 just to name a few) and left several messages with their messaging service and have not received a call back yet.Business response

We have provided photos and a report to the previous owners of the building, I have photos from the last time my techs visited the property. I will be more happy to share these photos. The roof is in good condition with no defects.
Lets set up a meeting with your tuckpointer and meet at the building. This is not a roofing warranty issue, this is a tuckpointing issue in which we did not do that work.
Your issue is with the owners that sold the building if they didnt disclose this not us.

I have provided photos of damaged tuckpointing all over this home, I have a report that she has been provided stating that we told the previous owners of these issues. I have offered to meet her all in which have been rejected.
Her complaint needs to be with her building inspector who must not have inspected the tuckpointing or the previous owners not us! Explain to me what it is you want to do?

I am rejecting this response because:I have been very clear on what I want you to do. I've made several requests for an appointment for Happy Roofing to come out and inspect the issue from the INSIDE of my home. I've made requests by phone, email and via this BBB complaint for an appointment. My last response was me naming a time for Happy Roofint to come out, per their instructions, but I didn't receive the response to my request until after my requested appointment time of 10/25/20 at 12:00 noon.
I am well aware of the tuck pointing issue and the photos provided are not the same area of the issue I'm having so it's NOT a tuck pointing issue. Ceilings don't leak the way mine has because of tuck pointing. If Happy Roofing would simply come out and inspect the problem they would know that.My request is for an appointment for Happy Roofing to come out and look at the issue inside my house.
