This business planted four trees in the back yard along the fence in late June 2021. During the installation ***** said he had never planted a tree before. All four trees died shortly after installation. While digging up the trees, the root ball was still wrapped in burlap. I was told the four trees would be replaced, but that never happened. There was always an issue getting trees from their supplier. On November 18, 2021, I requested a refund for the four trees. The line item was $1,500. I followed up with that request again on January 10, 2022. The business has refused to respond.

We did a landscaping job and installed the evergreens. We told him the evergreens had to be watered twice a day. There were multiple times we showed up and he hadn't watered them. We got the irrigation system going. We were able to control it at that time. By that time, they were already installed for three weeks. My manager has been in contact with him several times about it and let him know he was responsible for getting them watered and the consumer admitted that he hadn't done it as instructed. I'm willing to work with him on it, but I will not replace them for free because of neglect.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
Wow! I don't know where to begin. Everything he said was completely a lie. The only thing worse than being a bad business manager is having zero integrity. The trees were watered as instructed. Everyone knows you don't rely on a sprinkler system to water new trees. Hoses were used on a slow drip to soak the ground. The owner never came out to the property except to collect money. He never explained why the burlap was left on the root balls (pictures were attached) because that is the real reason they died. I've tried to handle this in a civil manner, but obviously he doesn't have any integrity. I kept it off social media until now because I thought he would do the right thing. Looks like my only option is small claims court and any judge that looks at the burlap covered roots will rule in my favor.
