I bought a mobile home from the company in May of 2023. It was delivered in July 2023. Once it arrived, it was covered with oil and the windows were bad. I had to replace the windows. The window panes are not secure from weather. Water pipes had to be redone as well. Insulation was bad. Lights were broken and busted. The door would not shut after it had been broken. they did fix the light fixtures. I got some of the things fixed.Business response

All of the items she listed were taken care of when the home was delivered. Not sure why she listed those items in her complaint. We will check about the window. If we owe her for a window we will reimburse her for her expense.Customer response

We bought the Home in 2020, the house was set on the foundation in 2021. We noticed in the summer that our closets were hot and was growing mold. We had hinges on our closet doors that were rusting. We notified the Missouri Attorney ********************** They came out as well as R H the owner of Eliete. R H the owner tells us just leave our closet doors open. ******* tells us the problem was coming from the crawl space.We insulTed the floor of the house and noticed that we were having the same issue this year. We notified the A *********** The house was lacking enough insulation, but the ridge cap vents are not venting like they should. The roofing paper is sticking down thru the roofs in between the two halves of the house. Skyline fixed the insulation by adding more insulation.But ****** refuses to send someone out to fix the venting. R H the owner of ****** will lie to the A ********* by telling them that the problem has been fixed. If this was your house you would want it fixed right.Business response

There is still 400 sqft of 8 inch insulation in our attic that needs to have more insulation added . This is 3/5/2024. *************** and Bronze Hill are supposed to be talking to the engineers. Or at least this is what they are telling us.

The ridge cap vent wasnt venting correctly. We wound up having to hire ******* Roofing to put all new ridge cap vent on. They said there wasnt enough ridge cap vent on the modular, plus still roofing paper in between the two halves, plus shingles that needed to be cut from the gap blocking the ridge cap vent.Customer response

Purchased home from elite in July ********************* September tore loose vents on roof patched up.with duct tape Started leaking I complained several times they finally sent a guy that siliconed the vent . **** started leaking again it was almost a year later I threatened lawsuit and they sent someone that patched it up said they would be back to fix never showed. The water leaks through the light fixture above my shower. Ceiling is stained and soft wall is cracked. AND HAS BEEN SINCE HOME WAS A MONTH OLD!!!conditioning quit this summer called Elite about warranty the man said (one year warranty God bless goodbye). Unit has five year warranty but cannot get anyone to tell me anything. Elite has been lying to me since first complaint all I want is my home fixed rightBusiness response

I bought a mobile home in February. The salesman told me that once I paid for it, it would be two weeks for it to be put on site. The mobile home just got here three weeks. There is continued work that needs to be done. They said they would stay here until the work was done. He tells us again and again that he will be here, he doesn't contact us and they don't show up. The finish work is not done on the inside, the skirting is not done, I need siding that needs to be done; the enclosure (ridge cap) on the roof has not been completed. I paid $178,000 for it. I paid cash for it. I have a receipt. I have had to pay for storage and for hotel accommodations. These are additional expenses that were not planned for.Business response

First, I would like to address the comment that the salesman told her the home would be delivered in two weeks. We do not give definite time to deliver a home due to Ozark winter weather. As you know we had so much rain that we were behind for all deliveries. Most reasonable people understand weather restraints. The main delay was the foundation that the ****** and their contractor poured which didn’t pass state inspection and they had to do some additional work before our contractor could work. As far as skirting goes, skirting was not on the contract and they didn’t pay us for skirting. Mr. ***** was taking care of the skirting himself.
We paid Mr. ***** and his contractor to do his ends because he wasn’t willing to wait for our contractor. As far as I know all the home issues have been resolved. We always try to get things done in a timely manner, but sometimes issues such as foundations and weather delay us.

**** from Elite Homes had brought DC in refix some drain line issues. DC has cobbled together the drain lines looks like a kindergartner has done it. I told **** I don’t want DC back out here, we have a leak still in plumbing. **** from Elite was still trying to send DC back out. I told him I want someone that knows what they are doing to finish the job. **** isn’t calling us to tell us anything. Every time we talk to him he lies to us. He claims to have someone but he is very busy. We can’t use our shower or stool in our Master Bath right now. We need it fixed soon.Customer response

Bought a ******** Home from **** at Elite Homes in Springfield, MO last fall, was set June 9, 2021, it has had a leaky roof since that is damaging the inside. **** has done nothing but dragged his feet on getting this issue resolved. He sent the house setter back out to look things over and he said he patched up what he could but was a temp fix and if it rained hard enough with wind it would leak again. I took upon myself to contact a roofer who came out and looked things over and he said he couldn't believe it was a new roof and it was NOT repairable and it was all done from incorrect installation and took several pictures of missing shingles, shingles put on incorrectly, ridge cap on incorrectly etc. Sent all info to **** who after several days, emails and phone calls later said he would get another one of his guys up here to look at my roof again, after he got his truck fixed. I can not control when its going to rain next but I spent too much money on this house for it to leak.Business response

ITS A BRAND NEW HOUSE THAT SHOULDNT HAVE A PATCHED UP ROOF!!!!! SERVICE IS RIDICULOUS!!! THEY HAVE NEVER HAD AN ACTUAL ROOFER ON MY ROOF. THE LAST GUY THEY SENT OWNED HIS OWN LANDSCAPING BUSINESS... REALLY..COME ON!!!

Factory nails through the shingles through the shipping material for transport. We went to this location of the modular home and inspected the roof. The previous vendor had over used black jack to patch holes. We ordered and replaced those areas with brand new shingles and put them on. This is an industry standard. There are some items still awaiting service--some by ******** and some by us, but this will be done soon.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
I have emailed **** with Elite Homes to see an eta of whomever is coming to look at my roof with no reaponse. Again... not once has an actual "roofer" sent by Elite been on my roof to inspect it. Its absolutely CRAZY to spend this much money on a new modular home to have a patched up roof that Im sure will not get the full life out of before starts leaking again...but itll be off warranty then..Im sure their plan..
