      My rent continues to go up every year, and now Im being charged for a service that should be provided anyway. They now use a service called Piata and the only thing of value is they report on time rent payments to the credit bureaus to help build credit. But they should be doing that anyway instead of charging 20$ a month for it.

      We understand ****************' dissatisfaction with the lease renewal options offered to him, and we regret that he is unhappy.It's worth noting that ****************' rent, including the perks package, has only increased by $25 per month this year. Despite this increase, the market rent for comparable properties in his area is still $200 higher per month than what he is currently paying. This means that the property owner is potentially losing out on $2,400 annually by keeping ****************' rent below market value.The perks package that **************** is unhappy with provides a range of benefits, including reporting to credit bureaus, covering the required landlord liability insurance, and offering the option to purchase contents coverage, among other things. Our team has worked diligently to keep ****************' rent low and to assemble this perks package at a cost significantly lower than what other property management companies charge.We regret that **************** may not be fully aware of the effort and value that we have put into creating this package for him. However, he was presented with the renewal options and made the decision to sign the renewal. If he now regrets that decision, we are prepared to accept his notice to vacate so that we can rent the property at the full market rate.

      Horrible upkeep trees have done thousands of dollars in damages and they do nothing to prevent anymore

      It's important to clarify that based on our records, we do not have any business dealings with ******************. Therefore, any tree maintenance on or above her property falls under her responsibility.There seems to be a common misconception that the person whose property the tree trunk is located on is solely responsible for its maintenance. However, in reality, each property owner is accountable for maintaining the portion of the tree that falls within their property line.Consequently, ****************** has the right to trim or maintain the tree as she deems necessary, as long as it doesn't result in the tree's death.We genuinely regret any misunderstandings or damage caused to ********************** property by the tree. Nevertheless, as long as the tree remains alive, any maintenance, damage repair, or cleanup costs will be determined by the property line.Please let us know if we can provide further assistance or clarification on this matter.

      I've been in this rental for over 20 years. At Home Real Estate came along about 3 years ago and was hired by the owner because the previous management retired closing their doors. At first everything was fine until one day I called them to inform them that my rent payment might be a day or two late. I have a 4 day grace ****** and payment was electronically sent two days after it was due, before the grace ******. Since I've been here I have always paid on time, never late. So the day I called I apparently ruffled their feathers because they sent me a notice that the owner wanted me to vacate telling me I had a month to move out. They didn't know that I knew the owner and I called him immediately. He told them when they took over to leave me alone, meaning don't raise my rent. He never wanted me to move out therefore they lied in order to evict me. Over the course of two days I had to call the owner 4 or 5 times to keep them from evicting me. Approximately a year later the owner replaced them with someone else because he was having trouble with them. I was told they did not want to relinquish documents to the owner setting up a confrontation with At Home and the owners daughter. Since they are no longer managing his property's I have spoke with one of my new neighbors and they too are glad to see them gone. These people are liars and crooked when it comes to managing properties. Good riddance.

      We are unsure why ************** feels his notice was given for a late payment, as we did communicate with him on why the notice sent was given, and how to have it rescinded, and neither had anything to do with a payment being late. Additionally, we do not show a single payment was late in the 4 years we managed the home he resided in. When we took over management. ************** was on another companys lease agreement, and it was signed in 1997. Because the lease agreement was ********************************** October 2019 and continued asking until March 2023, for an updated lease to be signed and ************** refused. So in March 2023, ************** was given notice to move at the end of April 2023, with the caveat that we would withdraw the notice if ************** signed a new lease. ************** did sign the new lease, and notice was withdrawn. ************** owner is very elderly, and we did communicate with them about the fact that the lease was from 1997 and that we needed a new lease signed. His owner asked us to work with ************** on his desire not to sign an updated lease, and we accommodated that request until March 2023, when we were given permission to take the step of giving notice to either have ************** move or sign a new lease. ************** still lived in the home as of December 2023, when the owners family took over and decided to move the management to another company they were more familiar with. We are unsure why ************** would put up a review, in which he blatantly misrepresents the facts, especially after the years we have working with his requests to continue on a lease from 1997, and more than 6 months after his home was moved to another management company, but we are sorry he was not happy with our services.

      My girlfriend and I are currently renting a house through AtHome Real Estate. In the 8 months weve lived at the property, air conditioning people have been over to the house on 10 different occasions. Were constantly having to wait for approval from the company or owner to deal with these heating and cooling issues. Outside of the various other issues, the most recent issue with our AC unit has left us in a 90 degree home. Not only are we extremely hot and uncomfortable in our own home, our dogs are constantly panting due to the heat. I placed an urgent maintenance request on Friday, June 21st and its Sunday, June 23rd and nothing has happened in regards to fixing the issue. I know if it were the manager or owner of the company, this issue would be fixed immediately. However, were left to sit in a 90 degree home in the middle of summer due to their lack of urgency and respect for tenants. As I stated prior, this isnt the first issue weve had in regards to our AC. On multiple other occasions theyve failed to deal with our problems in any urgent manner. I could only imagine how slow theyd deal with other issues with something as simplistic as an air conditioning unit. Im forced to become a **** a** due to my family suffering from the heat. No one should ever have to suffer comfortability in their own home due to the company theyre renting for. The values this company promotes are significantly different from the ones Ive been experiencing.

      We understand the frustration of not having air conditioning during hot weather. It can be an unpleasant experience.However, ********************** claim that we've visited his home 10 times for ** issues is inaccurate. Since he moved in, he has submitted four work orders, all of which have been addressed promptly.In October 2023, he reported an issue with the *** and it was fixed the following day. Also in October 2023, he reported an issue with the dishwasher, and two days later a new dishwasher was installed. In April 2024, he reported an issue with the *** The tech called the resident multiple times with no response, but it was repaired as soon as we could get an appointment with the resident. On Friday, June 21st, ****************** reported another ** issue. The vendor was able to get to the home on Sunday, but the repair cost required the homeowner's approval. We provided ****************** with four window ** units to help offset the heat while we sought approval. The owner approved the repair on Monday, and the repair is scheduled for the same day.Items to Note: Due to the high temperatures, all HV** companies are experiencing high demand, making it challenging to schedule immediate appointments.As ****************** mentioned to us that if it had been our ** it would have been immediately worked on, we will mention that our company owners personal ** went out last weekend, and they had to wait over 2.5 days for a technician to visit due to the high demand for HV** services.At Home is contractually bound to seek the owner's approval for major repairs.HV** systems have various components, and different issues can arise, especially during hot weather. We genuinely apologize for the inconvenience caused to ******************. We worked diligently to resolve this and the other three issues he reported in the past as quickly as possible. We hope that the ** repair scheduled for today will alleviate the heat and improve ********************** experience in his home.
