On the evening of 9/1/2022 our door bell rang and our service dog alerted and covered the door as trained. I exited the house through the garage door to see who was at our front door. I noticed that a van with lettering referencing "roof repair" and a man at my front door holding pamphlets. When the man noticed me he stated that he was driving by and noted "hail damage" to our roof (which is false). I instructed the man to leave the premises immediately. On his way out of the property he stated "your missing out on getting a free roof repair" or words to that effect. From my garage I said that "nothing is free" and to read the sign next to the door bell that says "No Soliciting". I later found a flyer on my front door step from "Missouri Vetbuild" with the name "****" hand written on it. As a veteran of 25+ years I take particular umbrage at the use of the symbology (******* ******* ******* logo) and reference to veterans as a marketing tool in a "for profit business" that has nothing to do with veterans! I don't require a reminder of my service to our country, I am reminded of that service every night in my sleep. If Missouri Vetbuild holds such esteem for our veterans then they can start by respecting an individuals right to privacy and comply with the instructions on a sign that says "No Soliciting". They need to look up the meaning of the word! "Soliciting" is not solely referencing an exchange or offer with regards to monetary value. Its meaning goes beyond that. Does Missouri Vetbuild have license or permission from ******* ******* ******* to use the non-profits logo and symbology for its "for profit business". I have reached out to ******* ******* ******* and inquired about Missouri Vetbuilds use of its "trademark" and await their reply.
