In October 2021, Better Business Bureau questioned TLC Pros' website, https://www.tlcpros.com, and contract which stated:
“We are so confident in the skill of our staff and partners that we are willing to offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee at getting you out of your unwanted timeshare.”

According to BBB Code of Advertising, “The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used. An advertisement as a whole may be misleading by implication, although every sentence separately considered may be literally true. Misrepresentation may result not only from direct statements, but by omitting or obscuring a material fact. In addition, according to the Missouri state statute 15 CSR 60-7.020 (1): “A seller shall not make a representation or statement of fact in an advertisement that is false or has the capacity to mislead prospective purchasers.”
Regarding the term, “guarantee”, Better Business Bureau’s Code of Advertising standards states, “(1) Advertisers should only use ‘satisfaction guarantee,’ ‘money back guarantee,’ ‘free trial offer,’ or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer’s request. (2) When ‘satisfaction guarantee’ or similar representations are used in advertising, any material limitations or conditions that apply to the guarantee must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.”
BBB requested the business substantiate, modify or discontinue the claims made on its website and in its contract. The business responded that it had made changes to its website, however, after a review, BBB did not see that any changes had been made. In 2019, BBB challenged similar claims of which the business failed to address.
