I purchased a vehicle here 2 months ago. I gave a $2,000 down payment. They did not give me a title in a timely matter so the bank pulled out of the loan. I paid for the registration. They are now refusing a return of my down payment.

, We ******** ******* and *** ******* based on the consumer act of 2015 and with verification from the Missouri ********** ** ******* will be returning the **** ***** ******* purchased on June 20th 2022 due to issues that were not disclosed to us at time of purchase. There was not a valid state inspection at the time title was given . Based on conversation had with ***** and my husband then me about you needing us to give you possession of our vehicle in order for you to obtain a inspection needed for your records to show it was done prior to sale, this made us very uncomfortable with doing business with this company as you didn’t fully disclose and it’s illegal to sell a vehicle without one in Missouri, so we took it upon ourselves to take it to a certified mechanic who informed us of issues with the vehicle , warped rotors and brakes that need replaced and a rear main seal that is leaking oil again none of this was disclosed to us . Conversation had with **** ******* your business manager when asking to return vehicle and void contract again based on information provided by Missouri ********** ** ******* we have 30 days to return the vehicle, when I brought this up to *** ******* he stated they were lying and that we were just having buyers remorse about payment which was paid in full by July 7 th to the financer due date being the 20th he got very upset by this and refused to allow us to return the vehicle, but still said we had to let his guys inspect it. ***** stated they would have their guys look at the brakes and I brought up the main seal again doesn’t make us comfortable that you weren’t advised by them of the issues with the car as it appears this is the company they use for all inspections and repairs and arent willing for it to be done by a outside place.

*** *** **** ******* purchased their vehicle on 6/20/22. They are claiming that there was not a valid inspection at the time of sale and yet they submitted an image of the Motor Vehicle Inspection that is dated 5/2/2022. Motor Vehicle Inspections in Missouri are valid for 90 days if provided by a licensed dealer and this inspection would not have expired until 8/2/2022 thus disproving that claim. I have attached a screenshot taken from the Missouri ********** ** *******'s website and attached a link below for reference. They absolutely had a valid safety inspection at the time of sale. This inspection was performed at a nearby ******* **** and part of their safety inspection includes rotors and brakes. Their title was not picked up until after 7/2/2022 and so as a courtesy, we attempted to have it reinspected at ******* ****. The facility was busy that afternoon and after a very short time had passed, *** ******* said he could not wait any longer and so we returned the vehicle. **** ******* called after because she misunderstood why we were reinspecting it as she was not present and after clarification, she is still repeating false information. Despite the vehicle having been inspected and meeting all the criteria for a safe vehicle, in good faith, we offered to have the vehicle checked out and address her concerns but she refused. We consider this matter to be resolved.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
White Motor Company stated the id/ od was no longer valid as of July 2nd 2022 , White Motor Company  did not have title in hand until July 8th , my husband went in to get title on the 12th and  they told him it needed a inspection, he was on a break from work and could not wait a hr plus for it to get done. I called in as I was confused why you needed possession of the vehicle again and became weary of situation so went and had it looked at  and out the gate it needs $2,000 dollars worth of work . When bringing this to the attention of ***** as one issue being brakes and rotors and how it passed inspection which ***** stated that would be on ******** as they are the ones that passed it and it was never notated on inspection, never refused anything. Stating they would look at it but still needed that inspection , then I also spoke with *** ******* as it was within 30days of purchase asking at that time that contract be voided and we return the vehicle , when I had told him I reached out to the ********** ** ******* about vehicle and as title was not in possession of White Motor Company at time of sale he seemed to get very upset raising his voice saying it was buyers remorse and contract valid our payment being paid 13days before due,  this nothing to do with buyer's remorse more so the dishonesty of this company and lack of ownership  , the contract is not valid as title should be received with 48hrs at the latest not almost 18days later. We have submitted a demand letter with no response and also submitted a complaint with the ******** *******, nor White Motor Company or the Owner *** ****** have responded . I did also have to do multiple searchs to find owners info as his office staff refused to give that info. Again we are asking to void contract and return vehicle. Also the inspection was never given to us as ***** text a picture to me to prove it was inspected but again stated it was no longer valid before they were able to get title which is a Kansas not Missouri title.

      Sincerely,

      *** *******

I purchased a vehicle from ***** at White motor company. He has been dishonest from the start. I paid 15,000 dollars cash for a vehicle that has so many problems. I drove the vehicle home after buying it and on my way home the check engine light came on. It was a very rough ride. This vehicle should have never passed it’s safety inspection. I have made 4 trips back up there for them to make it right. But at this point I just want my money back. I gave ***** a list of everything that was wrong with the vehicle the following morning. I told him that it needed brakes and rotors, new struts and 2 of the transmission mounts were busted. I told him that halfway home the check engine light came on and a daytime running light was out. I took it back up to Springfield now 4 times. ***** hooked up something to tell him why the check engine light is on. He read it and told me that it just needed a computer update and he cleared the code. So after 4 trips up there I pick up my car still has a headlight out and the check engine light is back on. I took it to have the code read. I was told 2 codes. 1 was the transmission has a major issue and the 2nd code was the catalytic converter was poor flow. I would like to be reimbursed my money. I would also like to add that ***** instructed the tire shop to be dishonest with me about the condition of the vehicle. But my next trip to the tire shop… they came clean with me.

White automotive has been in contact with me. They have had my vehicle another full week. They were supposed to have the transmission looked at. I was told today that my vehicle had to be reminded how to shift. And that somehow the problems have worked them self out. I have taken the car back several times now and I am just not satisfied with what they are telling me. I would like to return the vehicle and get a refund. I would like for the owner to contact me. I live in Branson and this vehicle does not like the hills. I would like the owner of the company to drive it and then call me.

In an effort to determine if there was an issue with the vehicle, we have taken it to a local transmission shop that has been in business for over 40 years. They were not able to find anything wrong with the transmission. In addition, we have driven the car for over 45 minutes trying to recreate the issue and still found nothing. We’re not able to fix a problem that does not exist. We suspect that maybe the customer is just not used to driving this particular vehicle yet. We feel this concludes the issue. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:Let’s be real here. I have driven an SUV or truck most of my life. You all have said that you have driven the vehicle and you feel it doing the same thing that I feel it doing. I have driven the vehicle back to the shop 5 or 6 times now. The vehicle I was sold should have never passed the vehicle safety inspection. I have said since day 1 that the daytime running light was out on one side….. still not fixed after 5-6 times of bringing the vehicle back. They are discriminating against me because I am a woman. They think that I am dumb and know nothing about cars. I knew driving home the day of purchase that the vehicle had some serious problems. Each time they tell me that my vehicle is fixed and to come and pick it up. I have to find a way to go get the vehicle….. by the time I drive the vehicle from Springfield back home to Branson I am having a anxiety attack because the vehicle is running so poorly that I’m afraid that I am going to end up on the side of the road. As I have told **** and ***** at White Motor Company I am unemployed and fighting for disability. I drew money from my retirement to purchase a vehicle that is safe, and a smooth ride as I was supposed to be driving it to California. I have a back fracture and I can’t handle being in a vehicle that drives really rough. I am a single mother with 4 daughters and 3 grandkids. I drove this vehicle 1 time with my grandkids in it. I told **** the next day that the vehicle spits and sputters down the road and that I was afraid that I was going to break down in the freezing cold. I can tell you a list of everything that was wrong with this vehicle when I purchased it. I am asking for a full refund or asking them to buy the vehicle back at the same purchase price. I am asking for the owner of this business to reach out to me after driving the vehicle down to Ozark or even a little further down toward Branson so he can see what the vehicle is doing once you start trying to pull the big hills. Buying a vehicle from White Motor Company has been a huge mistake on my part. I am not saying that they haven’t taken care of some of the issues with this vehicle. But really some of these issues should have been taken care of in order to pass the safety inspection. I feel like if I was a man I would be getting better treatment. Instead I am being dismissed like I don’t know what I am talking about. I spent 15,000.00 cash for this vehicle. I can’t afford to put more money into this vehicle. I have some major health problems and can’t handle being bullied by this business. I am asking you to please do the right thing.

      Sincerely,

      ****** *******
