  I hired this person to install a door and install security cameras and repair a wall. He destroyed the door. Instead of admitting he destroyed it, he told me the door was “jacked” and I needed to purchase another door. I purchased another door and he destroyed it also, but acted like everything was fine. He installed security cameras. He did not follow my instructions on where I wanted some of them installed, resulting in extra work to comply. I asked him to explain how to watch previously recorded activity on the cameras and he told me my cameras did not have that feature, it if I wanted to purchase some that do, he would install at no charge, but I would have to give him my old ones (they are brand new cameras). I contacted Blink the next day and my cameras do in fact have that feature. I believe he was trying to scam me. We agreed to have him repair the wall at a later date. However, he took a ladder that was to be partial payment for the wall. After I saw the job he did with the doors, I told him I do not want him to repair the wall, and bring my ladder back. He wanted me to meet him somewhere. I said he took it from my home, he should bring it back. I told him I want a full refund of $825 cash I paid him, plus my ladder. He has refused. I asked numerous times for a receipt and he has not given me one.

  I sent Ms.  ****** a money order for the door she said I ruined and I sent a ladder for the extension ladder that she sold me.  So, I sent the money order for those two things.  I did install the security camera and she stated that she got the wrong security camera.  The door was installed and the door was installed properly.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  He ruined 2 doors.  He “installed” the 2nd door but in no way was it “installed” properly.  The lock would not work, the hinges were not secure, the door would barely open because it was dragging on the floor.  The door is cracked where he installed the lock, it has chunks cut out of it.  The pictures clearly prove everything I am stating.  
  The deal on the ladder was in conjunction with him repairing my wall.  He is not repairing my wall and therefore he does not get the ladder.  
  He installed the cameras.  When he was explaining how they work, he told me the ones I bought did not have the record feature, and that if I wanted to purchase some that do he would install them at no charge but I would have to give him the old ones.  Not believing what he said, I contacted Blink.  I do in fact have the ones that record.  He was trying to scam me.

  i did receive 2 money orders from him on May 11, 2023.  One for $100 and one for $143.  I will hold them until this situation is resolved.
