I took my truck to cnc to have them diagnose the problem. They told me it was the injectors. Price was set on their estimate at $2975.43 . I wanted a couple other parts put on. The price went up to 3900+. The parts I wanted installed did not get installed. They billed me for a water fuel separator filter which my truck does not have. They also charged me for 4 gals of oil when my truck takes 3. They charged a outrageous amount on shop supplies. Lied to me telling me the parts I supplied didn't fit. I've tried talking to them for a full refund as my truck is back in limp mode. I took it to another shop who said the wiring harness I bad and has been bad a long time. That the parts they put on would only get destroyed because this harness was bad. They falsely diagnosed my issue, lied to me about part fitment and over charged me. They also jacked the price on the injectors from 285 each to 2400 for the 6. It doesn't add up. This is fraud on their behalf. I want a full refund or I'm taking them to court.

We quoted  *** ******** $2800 for 3 fuel injectors in November 2022, per his request. He brought the vehicle back in for this repair in July 2023 where we then discovered he actually needed all 6 fuel injectors. We updated our quote which then became $3900. This included replacement of all of the fuel injectors (along with the other parts and fluids required to do the repair), as well as a 2 year parts and labor warranty. We called *** ******** informing him of the changes, and he approved the repair and proceeded to ask us to look at some aftermarket parts he had  purchased. He wanted to know if any of those parts were being removed during the repair and if we could install his aftermarket parts. We made a note on the repair order that *** ******** had these parts in the vehicle so that the technician would look at them and see if we would be able to install them at no extra charge. He had a new billet aluminium valve cover for a 6.7 Cummins engine (which would not work on his 5.9 Cummins), a coolant bypass kit for his thermostat, and a freeze plug block-off plate that mounts on the cylinder block behind the turbocharger. None of these parts were already being removed for the fuel injector repair except for the valve cover, which was not correct for his engine. Therefore, we did not install, or quote to install, *** ********'s provided parts. We knew it would cost him significantly more money to install them since we were not already removing any of the additional parts he had provided. *** ******** claimed that our quote did include installing his parts. However, *** ******** approved the repair order provided to him that outlined that his aftermarket parts were not being installed. When we spoke with him on the phone about the increase in price due to needing all 6 fuel injectors he was great and had no issues. When *** ******** came in to pay the bill and pick up the truck, he was very angry, yelling, and cursing at our staff. He was irate and unresponsive to reasonable conversation. We even had another (male) customer in our lobby that told *** ******** to quit talking to our (female) Service Advisor in such a manner and that he needs to speak to women better than that. I (the owner) finally persuaded him to step outside and tried to speak with him calmly, but he wouldn't partake. *** ******** continued cursing at me, called me a liar, and threatened that he would see me in court. I told him I was through with his behavior at our facility and towards our staff and myself and to have a nice day. I went back inside and *** ******** left the premises in his truck. 20 minutes later he returned and asked if I would care to recheck our work, as if something were wrong. I promptly agreed, reminding him that our work is warrantied and asked what was wrong. He said it developed a misfire and again asked if I would care to recheck our work. Again, I reminded him that his repairs were under warranty. *** ******** left the truck with us to investigate the issue. I pulled the truck in and discovered that the number 2 injector driver in the PCM had failed shortly after he left--as is common when a truck is driven with bad injectors for such a long time. I began looking for a PCM for *** ******** that wouldn't cost a fortune. Often the PCM for his truck is around $1500 - $2500. However, we work with a company that will repair them for much less, so I sent it out for repair, which cost $800. Once repaired, we installed the PCM, test drove the truck, and the misfire resolved and it ran great. I called *** ******** to inform him of the issue we found, that we already repaired it, and that his truck is ready to be picked up. Of course, *** ******** states that he did not authorize this repair to be done, wherein I told him the repair was free of charge and that we just wanted to bless him (hoping to change his attitude and to show him that we were not taking advantage of him despite his behavior). Since then, *** ******** has been libeling us on Google, Facebook, and now the BBB leaving terrible reviews, falsely accusing us of taking advantage of him, and defaming CNC Automotive & Diesel Repair on social media.

In the time since he left the reveiw on bbb. *** ******** has reached out to us on messenger and demanded a full refund or he is filing a lawsuit. i looked into his ticket and found that he was accidentally billed for a fuel water seporator. on that year dodge pick up, some had them and some did not have them. his did not have one and we simply forgot to take it off his ticket. it is 32$ we offered a refund for the filter, that he refused. he also informed us that he has another issue with his truck and is claiming the wiring harrness is also defective. i offered to look at his truck and that if anything we did failed that we would cover it under warranty, and that our warranty policy that he signed stipulates that it must be done at our facility. he refused several times to bring the vehicle in and demanded full refund or he is sueing us. that is the only thing *** ******** has made clear. he has threatend us to give him a full refund by end of day friday 8/26/2023 or he is filing a lawsuit on monday 8/28/2023. he has refused to work with us to resolve his issue.

I brought my car to them in November and they had it until January 6 and the car started having the same issue in March. I signed a work order under the intention that my car would be fixed and not broke down within a few months. They used Google Docs but that doesn't show how long the car was in their possession. I have documents to show I called them the next day and they told me to bring it in which I did and they didn't fix it.

They told me the car was repaired and it wasn't.  The car has not been fixed and they never told us that this car has too much damage and we cant fix it. We authorized them to make all the repairs after the 3500 payment I was assured the car would run. So whatever they did held it together for a little bit but only for 2 months and in that time they knew what they needed to fan 4 days later my engine is shot and they no longer can do anything to help me.  I paid over 4000 dollars for the repair of this car, not included car rentals and the time I have missed at work because of the constant repair issues and bringing the car in daily, weekly for it to be looked at only to break again in a few days.
I am not disputing that I authorized them to fix my vehicle or the charges they made, my issue is that I trusted them to do the work they said they would do and trusted that the work I paid for and authorized them to do would fix the issues I was having with my car.  They assured me the car would be fixed after I paid them 3500 initially, and it was not.  I went to pick up my car on Easter weekend with the car sitting on their lot, no one there, and my keys in the ignition. I emailed their office finally after waiting to hear if the car was ready only to be told that the motor was shot, I should not drive the car, and to enjoy my weekend.  I also have emails confirming back and forth conversations that show what I expected regarding my vehicle and repair and what I was told by them.

Mrs. ***** has sent her concerns to the ******** ******* ** *******i and disputed the charges she authorized with her bank/credit card company. In both instances, CNC Automotive & Diesel Repair has provided evidence sufficiently proving her allegations to be incorrect. Mr. and Mrs. ***** were fully aware of the possibilities and risks involved with repairing their vehicle in it's condition and they authorized every repair that was completed. CNC Automotive & Diesel Repair completed each of those repairs properly and without any fault due to workmanship or the parts we installed. We have treated Mr. and Mrs. ***** fairly and professionally throughout all of their visits to our facility and with each of the numerous vehicles they've brought in for us to service. Prior to Mrs. ***** picking up her vehicle last, she informed us to leave the keys in the car since she would be picking it up after hours and we honored her request. The emails that Mrs. ***** is referring to are the same ones that both the Attorney General and the bank/credit card company reviewed in their decisions, in favor of CNC Automotive & Diesel Repair, regarding this matter.

      Respectfully,

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because the bottom line is they were entrusted to repair my vehicle and over a 6 month period, as seen in their own words , they knew what was wrong and what they had to repair and yes I authorized them to do so because I wanted my car fixed obviously.  So how can they say one day that in addition to the $3500 I already paid that they know exactly what needs to be fixed for another $707 and I approved them and paid them to do the work, 4 days later when my car is not working properly and experiencing the same issues are they then able to clearly lay out all that is now wrong with my car ( in a span of the 4 days I had my car back) that they can confidently say my engine is shot and the car should be traded in asap because further work will cost more than the car is worth? It’s sad.

      Sincerely,

We have provided all information and evidence justifying CNC Automotive & Diesel Repair's denial to refund Mrs. *****. The repairs that Mrs. ***** authorized  CNC Automotive & Diesel Repair to do did not cause, nor were misdiagnosed as, the failure that occurred with her vehicle. CNC Automotive & Diesel Repair assumes no fault, responsibility, or financial obligation to the repairs that Mrs. *****'s vehicle needs.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because I brought my vehicle to be repaired and after paying them $4000 my car was still in the same non drivable condition that it was when I first brought it to them. They evaluated my car on numerous occasions and had my car for mints/weeks at a time. They took apart my engine 3 or 4 times to make repairs and put it back together. They are the professionals in this area not me. As seen in service invoices and emails from them they are outlining what is needed to be repaired in order to fix my car. At no time did they tell me my car was so badly damaged they could not fix it and made me believe that if I continued to make repairs they listed then it would repair my vehicle. This went on over a 6 month period with my car in and out of their shop. The last couple months my car was in and out in and email Ms. ***** clearly states she is 100% sure of the issue causing problem and  if I make this final repair and pay another $707 on top of the $3500 already paid then the car will be completely repaired and it was not. Four days later when my car is in their shop again the next diagnosis I get is that my car is essentially in fixable. So a business can just charge a consumer whatever they feel and make repairs that are clearly not necessary since the repairs did not fix my car and in fact only further damaged my car. In any other situation if you purchase a faulty product, the product is broken or the service is not fulfilled then the consumer is refunded. Why is this situation any different. I originally attached all emails and documentation regarding the e-mail communications where Ms. ******* ***** is only providing me with the repairs and costs needed to repair my car and since I trusted them because they are the professionals in this area I approved them and paid them only to be left with a car that was presenting the same problems and undrivable again a day or 2 later. If they were the only auto  experts working on my car over A 6 month period and consistently their repairs were not working even though I was paying then what exactly what I paying for?? I spent over $4,000 for what ?? Clearly the repairs they made were incorrect, or not done properly and over all the times they were working in my engine they were overlooking the other issues? I can’t say but what I can say is I feel like I was taken advantage of lied to and I misled. I have consulted many other people regarding this issue and they are appalled. I put my trust in CNC and they made me believe that if I paid for the repairs they listed my car would be repaired and it was not. I paid them over $4,100 dollars to repair my vehicle and they did not so I believe I should be refunded as a consumer would be in any other situation. Instead they want to place the blame on me when they are the professionals. All I did was pay for their services and they did not provide me with the outcome they promised and is in writing in the attached emails I originally attached. Please advise me on next steps if BBB is unable to hold them accountable for misleading a consumer and charging them for services that did not repair my vehicle. Would my next step be filing a claim with small claims court? This entire situation has been a strain on me emotionally and financially. Among the monies paid to CNC I had to pay hundreds of dollars in rental car costs because I would be without a vehicle and had to miss work. I have kept all my receipts for the additional expenses brought on to me after I had paid CNN the additional $707 (had already paid $3500 and car was having same issues again) and told by Ms. ******* ***** this would be it , then I had my car back for 4 days and AGAIN it was having problems and had to bring it back. First they said it was a gasket and they would get it fixed, test drive it and it will be done. I never got a call or anything but and email at 8:30 that evening which was a Friday and they are closed all weekend stating a whole list of problems, my engine was essentially shot, i should not drive the car and get rid of it ASAP…. Literally 4 days after paying an additional $707 for the “repair they were 100% sure now was what it needed to be fully repaired “, prior to that my car had been in and out of their shop 2 other times wishing a 2-3 week period where they were giving me other issues that they diagnosed and fixed, and then 4 days later it’s diagnosed as a blown gasket and repaired but then test driven and I hear zero from anyone and sent an email at 8:30 pm when they close at 5?? Outlining a pleather of NEW issues and not drivable when a few hours before that they were very sure it was a gasket and repaired it, 4 days before that it was a $707 part and repaired it but CLEARLY that wasn’t even it because then I get an email saying the exact opposite. So what where they doing every single time my car was there and diagnosing it and making all these repairs I’m paying thousands for and they are giving me 100% assurances, within a 4 day period it comes to the light that obviously the $707 recent part wasn’t necessary obviously so why is that my loss as the consumer. Not to mention the $3,500 I already paid that landed me right back in their shop. Not to mention the last time it’s a gasket and ready to go they just gotta test drive it and then did not even have the courtesy to call me before 5 when they closed for the weekend but could send me an email at 8:30 pm outline all this other auto lingo that they like to use to somehow spin it to be not their fault knowing that I’m not an auto mechanic. It is not right as the consumer to entrust a company to provide you with a very important and expensive service and when they fail or do not follow through then me as the consumer should be at fault for listening to them, doing as they directed and paying in full for their services. That is not the way an upstanding and honest company does business or treats their customers who put their trust in them and follow their advice. Throughout this exhausting, stressful and emotional situation I never treated anyone poorly now was I disrespected or rude. I remained patient and understanding and continued to trust them only to be left out to dry. I can not afford to lose $4100, not to mention the over $500 I paid in rentals, and all the costs that I had to come up with to suddenly have to purchase another vehicle. All I am asking them to do is refund me in full for the monies paid for repairs they made that left my car in the exact same situation I was in when I brought it to them. If they will not please advise me on what the proper next steps are to pursue being refunded.

      Sincerely ,

      ****** *****
