We entered into a contract with ******** Custom Tile and Design LLC on October 2nd, ****************************************** December. That date was mutually pushed back until March 2024 so the work could be completed during spring break. ***** agreed to start work on or around March 10th. As the date approached, all calls and texts to ***** to confirm his start time were ignored and not answered. The start date came and went with no response and no returned calls or texts. I finally thought to reach out through their website at which point he finally texted me back after weeks of no answers. ***** set another date to start that was again missed. All calls and texts were again ignored but he did provide an update that his apprentice was sick, hence the missed date. ***** finally came out to start in early May 2024. ***** and a helper showed up and put down floor protection that I provided him, removed a few pieces of drywall, then left telling my wife that they were going out to supplies and would return. ***** never returned. Several unanswered calls and texts over the following weeks resulted in me again going through their website asking for an update. ***** proceeded to tell me my walls had bad studs, he didn't have time to straighten out anything and that I wasn't ready for tile. Our contract specifically states that he was to prep walls to industry standards and shim/plane the studs to achieve flatness. This is a breach of contract. I respectfully asked for a return of my deposit minus payment for his time for the hour he showed up to my house. I offered $500 of my $1,500 deposit for that visit and have not been able to reach him again. All calls and texts are ignored and now I'm here reporting them to the BBB.
