I am not one to usually do this, but this was blatant lies and apparently technicians who do not care or are not experienced. I took my 2014 F150 3.5L Ecoboost in for service due to a check engine light for cylinder 6 misfire. Truck had a very slight hesitation but nothing major. They stated they found a cracked spark plug and replaced it. They stated that they compression tested the cylinder and it came back good. Then proceeded to tell me it still had a misfire and they couldn’t figure it out and told me to take it to ford. The next day I pickup the truck and barley made it out of the parking lot and it was shaking horribly. I turned around and dropped it back off as no one in service was there at that time. The next day the service advisor Jim tells me that he test drove the vehicle and told the tech he needed to look at it again. Jim stated the tech told him that when he compression tested it, he must’ve cracked the spark plug again and that he replaced it again. I asked if they had used motorcraft plugs as requested and he said yes. I picked the truck up that next day and it still was shaking, not as bad but shaking. At this point I have had enough, I order a motorcraft plug and ignition coil. The truck sat until today Friday May 26th and I pulled the cover off to find the ignition coil loose. So loose I could move it up and down off the block. Then after removing the coil I removed the spark plug to find that not only was a orielly branded spark plug, it was CRACKED AGAIN. I replaced the spark plug and coil and truck now runs smooth… However other misfires are starting to happen on other cylinders, going to have to end up replacing them all to be safe. The sad part is I have done business here since I moved to Warrenton. The truck has service records spending most of its life here (yes I know a ford at a Chevy dealer) but to be now $250+ out of pocket for an issue that should have been easily caught and addresses is ridiculous.

Mr. *******' truck had a check engine light on with multiple misfire codes upon drop off and told us that it was because of a timing chain problem.  He had a bulletin from Ford showing the timing chain problem.  We performed a compression test and found a broken spark plug and compression test showed all cylinders were good on compression.  We explained to Mr. ******* that we did not have the correct tools/computer diagnostics to check into his Ford completely and that he should take it to a Ford dealer.  After replacing the first spark plug that we found cracked Mr. ******* picked up the truck and then returned it saying it was shaking.  We re-checked it the next day and found another spark plug that was cracked and replaced it.  We did not charge anything for the second days repair.  Mr. ******* picked up the truck and was going to take it to a Ford dealer.  We have not heard from Mr. ******* since he picked up the truck.  We were informed through another employee that Mr. ******* had blasted the dealership on social media so I reached out to him on 3 different occasions over a couple of days leaving messages and I have not received a return call to date.  I don't believe we did anything wrong.  We only charged him $96 for the first days diagnosis and plug replacement and did not charge him for the second visit at all.  The truck came to us with broken spark plugs that would have needed replaced no matter where he took it.  I'm sorry he has a bad taste about this visit and hope we can rectify it in the future.
