I contracted with **** in January of 2023 after a flood of my home in December of 2022. He started off well but he did say he preferred to deal with the female of the home to get things right. He came recommended by my State Farm agent **************** who I was with for over 40 years. All the local companies were backed up for weeks due to artic frost. The home was gutted fairly quickly but that was it. For every step of the project he needed upfront money. He and my agent were pressuring me to call the mortgager to release more of the insurance claim money. My agent and **** both even called the mortgage company to release funds even though he had not completed enough work to release more money. I wanted additional improvements to my home and committed to paying ****** additional dollars. We started paying our portion upfront to move the project along and offset what the mortgage company would release. All work stopped by November of 2023 and because I did not add the last ****** dollars. **** has collected 146, 000 dollars total, of which ****** dollars came out of my pocket and my home is not complete or livable. State Farm cancelled me because of the cost of repairs and living expenses since we were not in our home and that was the last I heard from ****. I do not have floors, cabinets, appliances or any of the items the insurance company paid for. I suspect the agent and he were working together because they both eloped at the same time. The bad part is that I see on ******** that ****'s wife has opened a new store in **********. Are my cabinets there because when I asked he said they were in storage? Now I understand why people need a company with a line of credit to finish the work and get paid by the insurance company. A family told me usually people who need front money cannot manage money and that is why they do not have a line of credit.

She wants me to finish her home. We have to work according to State Farm. Her insurance company has the money. She wants me to pay in advance before insurance approves the payments. She has insurance with State farm. she had a flood. State farm wrote the check to her. The **************** also has to sign off on the expense. They send approval to ****. The **************** held the check and were supposed to disperse the money. The home owner is not communicating with ****************. The mortgage company is not sending money for repairing the damage.
