We purchased a 2022 VanLeigh Beacon from a dealer in Washington. After a while we started finding problem after problem. We got in contact with the service department and explained our problems. We had many mobile techs work on our rv. The person at VanLeigh decided to have us take our rv to Mississippi to their shop. On our way we had to stop at a few places for work. We also had two tires blow up on us. The person who helped us told us they were defective tires. When we finally got there, we gave them our list of problems and was told it should only be 4-5 days. We got our rv back 17 days later. When I asked about a few of the major problems, I was only given excuses. For a few months after, we found that they had only fixed a few of the items and we were having the same issues as before. When we contacted them, they were very rude and said that we could just bring it back. It cost us over $13,000 dollars for that trip only to still have the same major problems. We had saved to buy this particular rv for a forever home as we are in it full time. The worst thing is we were almost back to Washington and coming down the Siskyous, we lost our rv brakes which in turn lost the truck brakes also. We were afraid we were going to die that day. When it got towed to a shop, we found out that the wiring for the brakes was not hooked up the right way. What is the price of almost dieing? I am now afraid to tow anything and that has ruined our retirement. We are both disabled and this whole situation has taken a huge toll on our finances. We cannot afford to take the trip again but we don't want this particular rv anymore. Please help us get relief from this horribly made rv. They should be ashamed. We have given them a list of the problems. They were nice enough to refund our gas for the trip.
