On March 26,2021 I paid on $2,000 deposit for a Chevy Cruze from Champion Family Auto Sales. On March 31,2021 I started to have issues with the car. The car ran hot on my way home from work three times within the two weeks I had the car. On April 14,2021 the car started smoking and I had to pull over to a gas station and call *****. The gentleman that worked in the car before I received it came to the gas station and toke a look at it and stated “This car is not drivable there is oil everywhere in the hood. We have to tow it”. So I spoke with ***** a couple days after that day and he stated “It would be best for us to give you another car because this car needs another oil cap and it would take to long for us to fix it”. On April 29,2021 I paid more money for a Ford Focus from Champion Family Auto and just like the Cruze I instantly started having issues. I sent ***** a video one day of the things going on with the car. He stated “It’s fine, it’s only the traction light”. I sent him another video and once again he stated it would be fine. July 23rd the car completely shut off while I was driving down I220 with my children. I had to get the car towed because ***** refused to come help me. I got the car towed from my house and to Champion Auto Sales August 2,2021. ***** stated the ECM is messed up. He promised to fix it in a timely matter and return the car back to me. For two months I paid the car payments without having a car, on top of paying for a rental. Here it is November 1st and I still do not have a car. ***** states that he put the car to the side because I am not able to make the payments. I asked for a loaner car so that I can make the payments and still nothing. I was promised a good, reliable car. I have yet to receive that. Communication between me and the Auto company have been horrible. I am going broke paying for rentals and ride shares just to make a living. I am in desperate need for a resolution. Response to Complaint
To Whom It May Concern:
Champion Family Auto Sales sold ****** ****** ******** a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. Due to unforeseen problems with car Champion Family Auto Sales sold customer a 2013 Ford Focus "as is" on April 29, 2021 with no addition down payment. Customer car loan was sold to US Auto Credit on July 14, 2021. Sometime around the end of July customer called in said car stopped on I-220. Car was towed to shop on August 2, 2021, and once looking over car I asked customer if she had hit a pothole or something because I couldn't understand how the ECM was hanging from the car. An if that' the case call your insurance company it should be covered under your comprehensive insurance. (customer coverage was term on July 17, 2021) I informed customer that after fixing ECM that we're getting another code, and if she wanted she could take the car to the dealer. I also informed customer that I'm short staff and behind on jobs.
