      Came to Mavis Tires & Brakes in Clinton, MS to have brakes check and be told I need all break pads and rotors replacement for my SUV in late October 2022. I accepted their advices (and bought ext. warranties without notice until I got the invoice). After about 1 month, I saw 2 back rotors started to be rusty and I thought they were normal. But the rust were geeting worse and I had to live with it. Until July 2023, about 8 months after the service, I felt the car bumpy when I applied the break. Took my car to the dealer for inspection. The people at dealer said I need to replace the break pads and rotors. So I brought my car back to Mavis Tires & Brakes in Clinton, MS for them to replace since they were still under warranty. They refused to replace and said the break pads and rotors were still good. I had to give the inspection paper from the dealer to them to see and they said the dealer just tried to make money from me. Then they told me if I wanted they would replace the calipers pads and rotors but I have to pay the cost of parts and labors. (I see them were trying to make money from me then). I asked why I have to pay parts and labors since I still have warranty? They said because I wanted to replace. So I deciced to not replace as they said. 2 months later, the breaks were getting worse, so I brought my car to Mavis Tires & Brakes in Jackson, MS. At this place, they said the pads and rotors need to replaced and asked me to pay all the cost of parts and labors (over $2000) because they blame the calipers caused the pads and rotors damage. I feel the warranty they sold was scam, never can be clamed. I would give 0 star (if this site allowed) for this business.

      I made an appointment and brought my car to Mavis Tire and Brakes in Brandon to get 4 new tires and an alignment. After 1 hour the staff mentioned that they reserved the wrong tires and that the only location that had the tires I needed was Clinton. So I took my car to Clinton. After 3 hours, I was told that my car was ready. I paid my bill and left. After having an issue with the tire light flashing, I returned to the shop to see if they could fix it. Air was put in my tires. At this time an employee said that it should go off and that I would have to bring my car back for the alignment. I asked for a refund. I was told that even though I paid cash I could not get a refund until higher up persons approved the refund. I decided to leave. Once on the road, my car made an awful noise. I decided to call a different location closer to home (Brandon) to see if they could look at my car because I didn’t want to go back to the Clinton location. I was told that I could bring my car to them. Once I arrived in Brandon, the car was examined by a staff member. I was informed that several studs had been broken off of one of my tires and that I would have to return to the Clinton store to get this issue fixed. Returning to the Clinton store, I explained what the Brandon store had said and asked why no one caught this issue. I was told that my car would be repaired the next day-Monday. I called several times Monday and was told my car would be ready by 4 or 4:30. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was then informed that more parts needed to be ordered because more studs and lug nuts on all other tires needed to be fixed. I left my car over night Monday night. I missed work on Tuesday to get the issue resolved and pick up my car. I called several times Tuesday morning to check in the status and was not able to pick up my car until midafternoon. I would not recommend going to Mavis Tire and Brake for any services.
