In May 2023, we bought a Kia Carnival SX Prestige in North Carolina, noticing defects during the drive back home including noticeable cracks and fuzziness on the passenger seat leather. Eager for a resolution, we approached Tameron Kia in October 2023 with this issue alongside concerns about protruding dash foam and a misaligned door panel. Service advisor *** ****** at Tameron Kia acknowledged the dash and panel issues but summarily dismissed the seat's condition as wear and tear, frequently interrupting our explanations—a behavior that my wife also found frustrating in her dealings with him. Despite ***’s lack of technical justification, he directed us to corporate Kia, which then clarified that warranty decisions are made at the dealership level by a non-customer facing manager, contradicting ***’s advice and indicating a potential misdirection. January 2024 revealed further problems, notably significant water in the rear bumper lights. *** initially dismissed this as condensation, contrary to my technical knowledge as a former master technician that identified it as a seal failure. It was only through persistence that *** agreed to order replacement parts. The February 2024 service, intended to fix the water ingress, resulted in new issues: a misaligned rear bumper, scratches, adhesive residue, a misaligned left taillight, and gaps in the rear hatch's weather stripping—clear indicators of negligent service work. The irony of possibly being told that bringing the car back to rectify these service-induced issues falls under 'normal wear and tear' is not lost on me. Given this series of events—characterized by misinformation, dismissive behavior, and inadequate servicing—I strongly advise against servicing vehicles at Tameron Kia. Their actions not only reflect poorly on their commitment to customer service but have also significantly tarnished my perception of the Kia brand. 10y/100k? What a joke. They can't even stand behind their product.Review from Samuel M

Absolutely the worst car company I’ve ever dealt with. They do not honor warranty. Lied to the manufacturer about what happened to the car. Sold a bogus “extended warranty”, did not honor power train warranty. Warranty was good for 100k and motor blew at 79k. I had the car for 40k of those 79k miles. Kia USA is being investigated for class action lawsuits concerning engine basically giving out. When I asked for the paperwork for diagnostic result as well as Kia manufacturing diagnostic, Tameron Kia service department refused to give me report. ***** was the main instigator of the issue. They then had a taller ***** guy stand in my face as if he was going to threaten me. I had to tell him to back the **** away from me. I figured he thought I was going to move first. Once I received my key back so I could tow the car away, I handed the tow truck driver the key so he could do his job. Two different individuals, including ***** came outside to try to instigate an argument with me. Once again I had to tell them to back away from me. Do not buy a car from these individuals. ***** the GM, **** the owner basically lie to your face while smiling.Review from Vanessa T

The service department is terrible! Unprofessional & unwilling to assist. My husband has brought the vehicle in multiple times for touch screen problems. The 1st 2 drop offs they claimed they were unable to recreate the issue & recommended taking video. Now we have video & brought it back for the 3rd time to be told it happens & they can’t do anything with the video. The system also has a recall on the camera of which they did not acknowledge & has since locked my child in the vehicle because it didn’t recognize we had the keys & were attempting to unlock it. Clearly there is a systemic electronic issue & this is the only way to get attention.Review from Nathaniel F

I sent my daughter to this dealership to pick and test drive a car. Initially she was denied a test drive because of her age. The next day she returned with her adult brother and was again denied a test drive. I spoke with the manager, explained I was a disabled veteran in another state, so I would not be able to attend the sale in person. I was told they needed to verify me by SSN. I explained that I was not exceeding 10k in cash nor am I using the dealership financing. So why does my SSN have to be used to verify me when there are other options? I was told it was because of the attack on September 11, 2001. I asked if they were violating section 7 of the Social Security act, they told me they have the right not to sell a car to anyone and refused to sell my daughter a car because I asked them to abide by section 7 of the social security act. I feel we were profiled!Tameron KIA Response

I apologize for any confusion but with out of state deals, in which we never meet the purchasing party we have to guard ourselves and customers against potential risks. If memory serves, you were offered the notary service to have your identity verified in person, after you did not want to supply us the information to clear identity remotely. It was explained to you or your wife how that process works and contract documents could be finalized. Once those things are completed and the vehicle is insured you can have anyone you want pick the vehicle up. I am sorry if our process is not to your liking but we have to operate a bit more guarded in this day and age. I recognize that it is inconvenient and I understand your frustrations. If there is anything I can do to help you with this process please don't hesitate to reach out.Tameron KIA Response

As far as the test drive your daughter informed the sales person upon her arrivial to the dealership that she could not drive the vehicle as it was a manual. Once she returned with her brother you had already refused to follow our identification process so a test drive was not warranted. I understand you feel they should be able to drive the car but you are the purchaser and if you are not willing to take the steps to secure the purchase (attendance or verify identity) we have to terminate the process. If you would like to provide us with the requested information we would be more that happy to accommodate.Review from Debra M

They were a really good dealership until they were bought out by Tamaron. Now, no one cares about the customer- just money. So sad.Review from Sarah H

Cars are probably as shady as the fliers you sent out claiming people won prizes with matching numbers only to make them wait in your crappy dealership for you to hand out a $2 lotto ticket in place of the prize that matched the winning number. If I ever need a new car this would be the last place I consider.Review from Maria W

Parts and services are rude and doesn’t have good customer service! They don’t cover anything and will nickel and dime you when something is defective on your brand new car! I will never do business with them again!Review from Rebecca C

Completely unethical. Asked us for feedback of our experience. Asking 6-10% more than sticker price in the window. We discussed how we think that was unacceptable to not be in the window the price that is asking for. No one raised a voice or was rude and the MANAGER cut us off and said no no no you can leave. Also ***** did not admit he did not know specific questions about different models and tried to pressure and elderly customer into the most expensive model for absolutely no reason.Review from Mechelle R

Do not use Tameron Kia to repair your ca!!! I had bought a 2014 Kia Soul (used-as is) from them about 10 moths ago. It started having issues about 2 weeks ago. I took it to a local shop and they replaced the spark plugs and ignition coils, one which was melted. I drove it home and the one ignition coil had melted again. They told me I would have to take it to the dealership because it was possibly a computer issue. I took it to Tameron Kia. They ran a diagnostic on it. Replaced the spark plugs, ignition coils, valve cover, and gasket. Then they told me that the valves had low compression and I would need a new motor. I told them that I did not want a new motor put in it. I asked them if I could drive it home (about a 15 minute drive) they said no because it was a fire hazard. When I went up there to pay for the repairs and get a summery of what they had done, the paper said that the car would not start. I had it towed home today and they never even put the coils back in (they were just laying under the hood). They also did not put the plastic cover back over the motor & left the fuse box covers off and some fuses pulled out. I will never use them again. ??????Review from Tanisha B

I had a very bad experience with them , I had an appointment with them for a scheduled diagnostic on my car to find out 8 hours later that they can’t do anything and I was still charged 200 dollars for absolutely nothing , they literally did nothing !!!
