On May 17/2023, I took my car to Car care Clinic on 105 Triangle Drive. Jackson, Mississippi due to the check engine light on. I had took it to the part store to get a computer reading for the light and it reported that my bank 1 intake manifold runner control solenoid needed replaced. So that’s why I took it to Car care Clinic. Then, once Car care clinic was done replacing the solenoid, I say an about an hour or two later driving from picking up my son. My car starting jerking like my transmission. I quickly call and so told to drop my car off the next morning which I did. So, then I realized that they had removed the wrong solenoid, then they end up placing the right solenoid on my car along with cleaning out the the liners , that’s what I was told. Then, my check engine came right back on. So, I took it to the Ford dealership and they did a computer diagnosis and it reported the same thing intake manifold runner control stuck open, pump motor circuit failure and thermostat. I was so confused and upset. Well my car did the same thing once again which is jerking which now has caused my car not to want to go in reverse. I have mentioned this multiple times to the manager at the shop and this is my only transportation to my doctors appointment and taking my son to and from school. My car wasn’t doing this until they replaced the solenoids on my car. I need help and answer.

I drop my car off to get a tune-up. My car was drop off at 7:30 a.m.on 08/23/23. As I return to get my vehicle I paid got my receipt an drive off. As I was driving my car was missing bad. I called to inform them on how it was running. I return back to car care clinic at 4406 Robinson Road , Jackson, Ms. They found that one of my plug wires was off. They put it back on a a I leave again. To my surprise I get down the road and my truck looses pressure and started to miss even worst than before. I go back for the 3rd time for them to tell me now that I need O2 sensor bank 1 replace. . Started talking about my catalyst converter. Which I had it taken off over 6 years ago. So ask why didn’t you guys diagnose it before doing all the work. I was told that don’t do diagnostic unless the customer requested it. Never heard of that before. Shouldn’t you diagnose a vehicle to find out the problem before you try to fix it instead of guessing what could be wrong and charging me for all the wrong services. Please help me or contact me at ************ **** or just refund me for my services I paid for that still haven’t been fix

The General Manager, *** *****, and Mr. ***** agreed for him to take his vehicle to another Car Care Clinic.  We are going to take care of the problem with no charge to him.  Worst case scenario, if we cannot fix the problem, he will receive a full refund.  We appreciate his business.  This should close this problem.

My a/c condenser was leaking and they fixed an issue with my starter and flywheel assembly which was surprisingly fixed an year earlier at another car care clinic location. They confirmed the leak and proceeded to replace it. First they said they couldn't get my truck started because they left the battery disconnected to long. So they rebooted my computer system. Got the truck back and immediately noticed the loud fan which was not there before. Expressed my concerns and was told it's fine. My air still wasn't cooling properly and my compressor would take a while to kick in which again I never had problems with before. So I noticed leaks foe the replaced condenser. Took it back 4 or 5 times for leaks and not cooling properly. Last time I took it back it was leaking power steering fluid in my driveway and not cooling. Calmed it was a connection and said the system was fine. On the way home the air stop cooling and I smelled burned fuilds. Took it back a day later. They said my compressor burst and they will replace it for$1000bucks. I just took out a personal loan for the first repairs of $1400 some odd dollars. I've had two different certified mechanic shop look at my truck and both shops said the samething. That my compressor was working to hard and burst under pressure. They also said that if you change an compressor or condenser to change the dampers/filters incase of any trash etc in system. Also said that this was sloppy work with installation. So now I'm out of $1400 which I have to pay back and Mt vehicle still does not have a/c. I can't check to see if my condenser leaks or not without having my compressor replaced. Replace the compressor and then if the condenser leaks it won't be under warranty any longer. Then the manager has a Teen son working on vehicles but he's not even an employee of the company or certified. The Hq manager Mr*** passed word along thru a coworker that he was to busy to deal with my issues and can only offer $50 off labor

Mr. *******'s ac condenser was replaced at his request in May 2022.  Mr. ******* refused a diagnosis and said that he knew what his ac system needed.  Mr. ******* did come back multiple times with a complaint that his ac did not work well.  Each time we evacuated the Freon to weigh the Freon charge to confirm that it had no leaks.  We informed Mr. ******* that his AC compressor was weak and failing.  Mr. ******* was not charged for these multiple procedures.  The power steering cooler is made into the ac condenser and Mr. ******* did return with a power steering leak which was a faulty hose clamp which was corrected at no charge.

We do have an apprentice who is under 21 years of age at this location, but he is of no relation to anyone employed at Car Care Clinic and I am not sure why this is even relevant.

I'm rejected this because the statements from this company was not true. I complained several times that my truck air compressor was working to hard. He stated that it was weak. If that was the case why not advise me to check others parts to see why was my truck fan running loud. I've had it checked and was told this mistake was the case for my ac failure.  Why should I be bring it back if work was done properly.  The under age kid I was told was the manager son.

In Response to Mr. ******* *******'s complaint.  Mr. ******* has a nine-year-old Lincoln Navigator.  Just because we fixed one thing on his vehicle does not mean that we warranty everything else on his vehicle. His AC compressor slowly failed.  We did not do anything to the compressor, and he feels that we need to put a new one on it at no charge.  He is calling me now and threatening to carry us to court.  I do not understand his way of thinking.  It is like he thinks if his right front tire goes flat and we fix it and months later his left front tire is flat we are responsible.  That is not right.

Date of transaction 11/29/2022 Amount of transaction 969.53. I went to Car Care Clinic on 11/25 to have belt tensioner and belt and idler pully replaced. Once the job was completed and I left I only made it about 50 miles and the vehicle started leaking engine coolant I took the vehicle back to Car Care Clinic on 11/28/2022 to see where the leak was and I was told there was a hold in the radiator, I feel like there was a tool or something that was left under the hood of the truck and it fell into the fan an damaged the radiator. If you know how this type vehicle is protected from debris from coming off of the road and getting into this area it is in my opinion that it is impossible. This is not the first time this shop has left things in the engine area, when ***** ****** was working on the vehicle on 11/25 there was a tool of his that was found under the hood of this vehicle.

This letter is in response to the complaint filed by Mr. ***** *********. We did work on his truck on November 25, replacing 2 idler pulleys, the belt tensioner and the drive belt supplied by the customer.  The repairs were successful, and Mr. ********* drove his truck to deer camp.  He brought the truck back covered in mud on November 28 stating that he had a coolant leak.  He had driven the truck 116 miles after the repair.  Upon inspection we discovered that the truck had a hole in the radiator.  Out of pure speculation, Mr. ********* is accusing us of leaving a tool under the hood that damaged his radiator.  Again, this is pure speculation.   In our business, radiators get damaged on a regular basis on the front side and back side from things on the road.  He called the GM and stated his case.  He is a former employee and received around a 30% discount out of good faith.  After repairing the radiator, he threatened to write a letter to the BBB and we were concerned that if he paid with a credit card, he would reverse the charges.  That being said we required a cash payment for the radiator repair.  Car Care Clinic does not feel responsible for damaging the radiator and does not feel he deserves a refund.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: The truck had very little mud on from driving on a dirt road. There is no way any debris did this. There had to have been something left under the hood of the vehicle for something to get between the engine fan and the radiator.

      Regards,

Car Care Clinic stands by our original response.  That anything was left under the hood that could have caused any damage is pure speculation.
