We bought an expensive Viking built-in wine cellar in 2018. It needed service primarily replacing the same broken plastic fan several times beginning the first year. Now that the warranty expired two years ago, the temperature alarm controller according to the authorized technician is broken. We are risking damaging our collection of wine. Viking says it no longer produce this “part” and despite our plea, is offering no solution. It is hard to accept Viking would just walk away from it’s responsibility of servicing it’s product that costed 5-figures just 5 years ago.Review from Uma S

Ordered ******** outdoor built in grill in May 2022 and was installed mid August 2022. The product is not manufactured correctly as live wires are left exposed, which caused a 'Thermal event' on July 4th 2023. Why on earth would almost $9K outdoor grill not have all live wire fully encased? When I reached the company, I was told the instillation was incorrect as the installer had not installed the insulation jacket and the instruction are in the installation manual Why on earth Viking does not make its outdoor built in grill where in all live wires are fully encased and charge for it too? When I am spending almost $9 K for the built in grill, I do not mind spending a bit extra for the live wires to be totally encased. Now my outdoor grill is unusable.Review from Andy O

I need a part for our trash compactor. When calling Viking they said the part will not be available. I asked to talk to a manager, they stated the manager will contact me vie eMail, NO CONTACT. The part is a Interlock Activator #028627-000. I am faced with a decision to replace a $1k appliance for a $4 part. Our kitchen has all Viking appliances. I can only say that getting parts has been a long-term issue for several of the appliances. My advice to anyone, DO NOT purchase Viking appliances. In our kitchen remodel going with all Viking appliances (6) is the one decision we truly regret.Review from Quincy M

I purchased a Viking range in the Spring of 2021 and it arrived September 2021. Since the arrival of the range and now a year later, it has had constant issues and still does not work correctly. So far I have had all 4 burners replaced, the front fascia, the grates, and now most recently the LED lights on the control knobs are no longer functioning as well as the oven temperature sensors/board have ceased working. The oven consistently overheats 25-50 degrees depending on the temperature setting. Further, the oven door does not close correctly as it appears the frame itself of the range has warped. I have had appliance technicians out multiple times through Viking's authorized repair and they have recommended this unit be replaced or refunded. Viking has not helped here. In the most recent attempt at servicing, the appliance technician went to remove the oven door so that he could fix the oven temperature sensor/boards, but found the door is physically stuck in place and cannot be removed. Like other reviewers steer clear of Viking and stick with any other brand.Review from Parham F

Bought a Viking fridge 2 years ago… and that’s when everything went downhill. Spent $11,000 for a fridge that has broken down 3 times in 2 years… never before owning a LG or Samsung had this happened before. Just terrible when you have kids, especially a baby. Milk/formula going bad… makes me angry just writing this. 1st issue- fridge stops working, then had to wait a week to find out the issue. Then order the part and then come install it. Thermostat 2- Then the 2nd issue our freezer stops making ice, which led to our fridge also not cooling or working properly. They had to diagnose it 3 different times. Then they found out it was a fan that went bad. 3- all the lights in our freezer stopped working… had to replace the lights. 4- all the drawers cracked in the fridge which some have sharp parts 5- ice tray handle broke off I have to be honest… thinking I bought the Ferrari’s of fridges… seems like this fridge won’t even last 5 years. Just sad to spend $11,000 and have to go through this issues and having kids with there food problems, I don’t want a new fridge, I want my money back and never have to deal with Viking again. This company is horrible. Nothing but headache since we purchased all of our appliances in 2016 from Viking (in-wall electric oven, in-wall microwave, gas stove 6 burner/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator costing us (over $25k). We’ve been having issues with every single unit. Parts and customer service department never answers calls and when we leave a call back message, no one calls back. Meanwhile, our two +12 year old Frigidaire refrigerators that costs $800 a piece are working perfectly! Stay away from this company! Garbage!!!Viking Range, LLC Response

I would have to agree with avoid Viking products. Recently purchased a Viking Series 5 wall oven. Initially it needed to be recalibrated in order to bake anything. The manual dial is difficult to be precise also. Somehow the sliding racks will not go in and out properly. Have sent repairman out and replaced the racks as well as the supports. Somehow there appears to be distortion in the middle 4 supports such that the teflon coating is removed and the racks are scratched from trying to take in and out. Middleby has given me invalid email addressed to send photos and continues to place me on hold without giving a valid email. Have never experienced such behavior before. All one asks for is better customer service from such a high end product and to have resolution. Simply refund or come and replace the oven. ***** *******Viking Range, LLC Response

I purchased a Series 3 electric range. A DISASTER!!! The literature does not tell you: there is no timer, no preheat light or buzzer, and nothing to tell you what temperature the oven has reached. You have to buy an external digital probe thermometer to know when you have reached your desired preheat temperature and it takes forever! Whatever temperature you set the knob to, you will not get to that temperature. The website does not give you all the info you need to know. Neither does the manual. I studied both before buying because I cannot see one in person in a 100 mile radius. I am located in Boca in Florida. Nowhere is it written that you will NOT have these normal features and that you will need a special thermometer and timer. There is NO transparency with this company. The cooktop has gaps where it meets the stainless and crumbs collect there; also, foggy spots appeared on the glass within the first use. Factory Service is pointless. They just say that's the way it is and you will get used to it. They even tried to order a replacement top and it was just as terrible. For over 6K they can't throw in a preheat light, timer, and temperature gauge? You have to guess! I am an experienced cook and this oven has ruined cooking for me. I have tried to contact ***** ***** the president of the company for one year now, and all I get is underlings giving me a line of crap. So ***** *****, if you are reading this, contact me so we can talk. I sent you a letter where I did a lot of work for you! I pointed out all the mistakes and ambiguities and omissions in your manual. I never heard from you as requested, just from ******** which was a most unsatisfying communication, waiting weeks at a time for a response. You owe it to me to give me a call. We purchased Viking appliances excited about the quality of the product. Since installed, the 5 Series Range has been nothing but issues. We first contacted Viking (Middlebury Residential) about the issues in April 2021. Over 8 months, multiple emails to Viking (because no one will ever get on the phone) and multiple service visits, not all the issues are resolved. The most significant issue remaining is the fan. When running, there is a loud, metal on metal rattling sound. It has been one of the issues from the onset, but Viking has not even acknowledged it! When the service tech heard it, he had no idea how to resolve and apparently did not even note it in his technical write up. Over the past month, Viking (Middlebury Residential) has stopped responding to my emails. I am beyond frustrated with the product and the lack of customer support from Viking (Middlebury Residential). Avoid the company because you will get no support if you have an issue.Viking Range, LLC Response

I purchase a refrigerator and range in February 2021. The refrigerator arrived in March 2021. Handles did not come in the packaging. One of the french doors came with a stripped screw. The handles came the next week, but you can't connect them since the screw is stripped on the door. This door replacement still hasn't arrived. The Range arrived 2 weeks ago. It is very loud. It runs once turned off for 90 minutes. They sent a repair person out, but he didn't have any repair parts with him. He needs to order a new connector and a new fan. No ETA on either appliance. They have been paid in full and I have defective appliances. I just can't believe a high end company like this would deliver a product this inferior.Viking Range, LLC Response
