I went to get a window peck fixed Friday, May 10, 2024. The young man stated it would be an easy fix that wouldn't cost much. Less than 5 minutes later, he came back apologizing for what he had done. He admitted to applying too much pressure on the windshield, which caused the peck/ crack to begin to spread. He apologized and said if I decided to get a new windshield he would take something off. I requested the price of a new windshield, which would be $422.65. I called and asked how much it would be once a portion was taken off. After being transferred, I was told the young man who promised a portion to be taken off had no authority to do so. I also inquired about his length of employment because a simple fix should not result in a windshield replacement due to too much pressure being applied. If a person admits to their mistake and agrees to make it right, then it should be honored. The business manager stated he had no authority and referred to a sign stating their responsibilities or a lack thereof. A business should right their wrong when they knowingly admit their faults.
