Sent **** $300 for a deposit on a puppy to be placed on the waitlist. When puppy was born I wanted a different color so I was messaging her about another litter. She just stopped messaging me so I found another breeder. She finally got back to me and said she was mailing my deposit back on 10/05/21. I never received the deposit and she will not respond to emails, texts, phone calls, Fb or Instagram dm’s.Business response

Not only is client aware, but client also has a prior wonderful purchase experience with Jillian’s Doodles and knows very well deposits are non refundable and are indeed the very point in submitting a deposit in the first place. Deposits are to hold a space on a waiting list which absolutely happened. When a client holds a space many other clients are turned away during that time and if said client backs out or changes their mind the deposit can be transferred twice or it is forfittwd. We do not and cannot guarantee the sex or color of a puppy and inform our clients that right up front. This is what the transfer rule is made for but it’s certainly not grounds for a refund due to personal preference . Our time and attention is indeed of value as well and many hours, days, weeks, months, are indeed spent on preparation and communication and the idea that should be of zero value when someone randomly changes their mind is ridiculous at best. There would be no reason for taking deposits if we held this practice and definitely could not run a successful business under such circumstancesCustomer response

I am rejecting this response because: the reply from Jillian’s Doodles LLC is incorrect. I did not turn down a puppy. ******* did not get back to me after said puppies were born. She was the one who told me the dog only had 2 females and I could wait for another litter in which I inquired about and she didn’t respond. Then when I requested a refund she responded (see message in attachment) saying she would mail my deposit back. Which is why I believed I was getting a refund… she told me she was mailing it. In December 2020 when I sent multiple messages asking about check status after not receiving the refund check after 2 months I asked her if I could just use it towards a litter and asked if she had a litter coming up(see picture of requested puppy after not receiving refund). In December 2020 I would’ve been happy to receive a puppy. That is what I wanted this entire time. Jillian’s doodles failed to respond to my numerous emails, text messages, Facebook and Instagram direct messages.
