Mississpi Federal Credit Union is reporting a balance of $212.00 on my credit report. In october 2023, TeKcollect, a collection email sent a ******* letter, on behalf of Mississippi Federal Credit Union. in the letter , TekCollect letter stated that as of July 31, 2023 i owed Mississippi Federal Credit UNion, ******. The letter also stated that i paid or were credited ***** leaving a balance of ****** Currently , Mississippi Federal Credit is still reporting a balance of 212 on my credit report after the letter from tekcollect shows ****** for the same accounthave reached out to both companies and neither will correct the issue..Furthermore, Mississippi federal credit unionis reporting the account as a open account when it is reporting as as collection./chargeoff which means its closed by default. These inconsistencies prove that no reasonable or proper investigation has occurred. I have been disputing these accounts for a year.FCRA 623a(1)(A), a person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. Mississippi Federal Credit union continues to report the balance of 212 and an open account status for an account that is a chargeoff/collection B) reporting information after notice and confirmation of errors- a person shall not furnish information relating to a consumer to any credit reporting agency if (1) the person has been notified by the consumer at the address specified by the person for such notices that specific information is inaccurate and the information is infact accurate. Here , for the i have dipsuted for a year with all three credit buraus constantly pointing out the inconsistencies that are being report. Each time , the bureaus confirms that MFCU has verfied the account as accurately, however, all of these consistencies and inaccuracies remain.
