This is the worst experience I have ever received when purchasing jewlery. I purchase a ring from this company 12 years ago when we purchased the ring they advised that there is a one time resizing fee over the life of the ring. When I took it to the jewler for the first time to be resized the charge $150 for this service and refused to honor their agreement. Although we were not happy this was something my husband wanted to do. When we received the ring back within 2 hours my diamonds began to fall out of my ring. I have never had a problem in the 12 years I have had the ring. I contacted the jewler and he advised that for $250 he will be happy to replace the diamonds and that it was not their fault the diamonds were falling out. They refused to fix my ring that they damaged and instead said they would be happy to sell me a different ring that is an upgrade. I am not sure about some of you, but when you get married that ring is a special symbol and that is absolutely rude for anyone to think they can replace something that means so much! I want my ring fixed at no expense to me since they are the reason my diamonds are missing. I want them to fix their mistake so that I can take my ring to a true jewler to have them check to make sure the work is done correctly which will be an additional expense on me.Business response

Carter Jewelers is the oldest business still in operations in Jackson, Mississippi. We are a full retail jewelry store and have been giving fantastic customer service since 1849. In fact, we have won best local jewelry store by the Jackson Free press the last four years in a row without ever voting ourselves or asking others to vote. We offer a jewelry repair service by an expert jeweler with over 25 years of experience. Carter Jewelers fixes jewelry correctly, and if a diamond falls out after the repair, we charge the customer to put diamonds back in, as do other jewelry stores who have been in business for a long period time and want to stay in business.
