I called this place of business about an estimate that was given for a vehicle. They quoted one price and then when they found out about the insurance they hacked the prices up. When I called aboutt he quote the prune that answered was rude and the person that gave the quote hung up on me.Business response

Our shop received a phone call on Monday, August 29, 2022 from the complainant. I, **** ******, answered the phone. She was inquiring about an estimate that was given to a lady, whom the complainant's son had backed into. She said that the damage was just a scratch on the front bumper and she said the estimate was too high and she might want to choose another body shop. I suggested she speak with the person who wrote the estimate, ***** *******. I explained that he was on the phone and had another customer waiting. I asked if she was okay to hold, and she responded, "I guess I will have to." I advised her she did not have to, that I could have him call her back and she said, "No, I want to talk to him today." So, I placed her on hold. ***** finished up (approx 3 mins) and I transferred the call. When ***** picked up, she hung up. About 10 minutes later she called back and was upset that we had disconnected the call. I assured her we had not and told her ***** was now available and I transferred the call to him. He answered the call. ***** attempted to explain the estimate to her and she continued to talk over him and yell. She yelled so loudly through the phone that our receptionist across the office could hear her. ***** tried to calm her down and speak with her, but she would not let him get a word in. He finally told her that he could not explain or talk over her if she would not give him a change. She continued to yell and curse. He explained he was ending the call and hung up. She called back a 3rd time and I answered the call. These were her exact words, "You are nothing but a *****. I have never dealt with such rude ******* people. I am going to leave a bad review on Facebook right now." She then hung up.
This lady never even gave me her name. ******* ******* is the name of the lady that her son had an accident with and was the estimate we had written that the complainant was calling about. We were never rude to her. We attempted several times to explain the estimate, but there was no explaining when she would not stop yelling and cursing. We never spoke to her about any insurance and she never brought that up in the 3 phones calls that we had. The prices on the estimate were the prices we use everyday. We are fair to our customers and we are proud of our impeccable customer service.
