In July 2021, we purchased a used 2016 GMC Denali 2500 from a small-town dealer who is now closed. Months After we purchased the truck we learned the DEF system had been deleted. in August 2022 we had a breakdown and our vehicle was towed to Frank’s Chevrolet in Kosciusko MS. The service dept informed us if we had the work done there to repair it that it would be warrantied for 24 months/24,000 miles and if we had any issues with the same parts we could take it to any GM dealership to have it serviced as long as it was within the 24/24. So we agreed to go ahead and let them repair our truck. This July 2023 the truck broke down again and it was towed to *******s Chevrolet downtown. Their service department told us it was the same thing that happened as before (cp4 pump) but the warranty wasn’t going to cover it because the DEF system had been deleted. We advised them that it was like that when we purchased the truck in 2021 but we were told it didn’t matter. Also the service department at Franks Chevrolet knew that this truck’s DEF had been deleted when it was at their shop being repaired and never once told us that our 24/24 warranty would be voided. NEVER! I was told to call GM 1-800 number and see if so could get them to help us. Now after a month of calling and waiting to be called back I was told by GM that this falls on the dealership that did the repairs which is Franks Chevrolet. Now our truck has been down since mid July and today is 9/13/23. The truck payments still have to be paid. My business has suffered tremendously from this because I haven’t been able to do any painting jobs because this is my only vehicle. Nobody seems to care at all what is happening. I just want Frank’s Chevrolet to do what is right and cover our parts under the manufacture’s warranty.
