My warranty company, First American Home Warranty, sent out Rightway HVAC, Gulfport, MS to repair my broken HVAC. I first thought the man said his name was ****, but he gave me a card with name ****** ****. He first said it was a fuse and said call him if it stops. It lasted a few hours and stopped. I called and explained to him my daughter is coming the next day with 2 toddlers and I needed my hvac to work. He came the next morning and said it was a power surge and I needed thre major parts the warranty company will Not pay. Even if they paid any, it would be weeks before parts came in. I called my Son in TC and he helped me pay for the parts. He wanted a personal check to Rightway for $416.00. I wrote the check, He said he had the parts in his truck. It took him only seconds to see I needed a new transformer; board and contact, it took him only minutes to change the parts. I never saw him take out or replace new parts and became suspicious. The hvac only worked a short bit. I noticed he had rigged the unit to my Fan that Nevrr turned off! When I next tried to call him, no answer! I asked warranty company to send out a new company to see what he did to my unit. Askin for Air came out; looked at my invoice receipt and checked my unit. They sadly told me the parts listed on his receipt were NOT changed on my hvac. I had only the same old parts. His invoice was written on 08-10-22 with address zRughteay in Lucedale MS. The only number listed was his number. He signed the ****** **** name. On August 26, I reported the incident to the FTC Case # *********. I knew he was not just a Con but this was Fraud by this business. I wanted my money returned and more important, this man or company to No longer hurt innocent people. It brought fear to me knowing that company sent a criminal into the home of an older person living alone. I will upload documents. Askin for Air came back out and fixed my zHVAC. I hope the warranty company Never uses this Rightway again. Kind Regards
