We cancelled our insurance with BRETT OLSON STATE FARM INSURANCE in Madison, MS in July of 2023. They continued to charge our account after the cancellation for months August, September, October, and November. When we tried to make contact to resolve the issues, the receptionist named ******* was unprofessional, defensive (because it was her mistake we were calling out, and rude. She actually hung up on us and stopped responding to our calls and text messages. It is now March and they have failed to refund to contact us to let us know what the steps are for a refund. We've contacted ***** ***** himself since he is the owner and have had no luck. We then contacted State Farm corporate to try to resolve that way through a formal complaint. They saw the charges and the mistakes, admitted fault and said we were owed a refund and were shocked at how this agency has handled our situation.Business response

I am an independent contractor agent for State Farm and working diligently with State Farm Corporate to get this terribly unfortunate mistake corrected and the customer a full refund. I would gladly pay the full refund amount out of my pocket to the customer if it weren't against the law and considered a violation of insurance agent rebating laws. I have escalated this to a Vice President of Operations level at our corporate offices in Bloomington, IL and expect to have a resolution very soon. I'm in contact with the customer for updates and wish I had been brought in on this earlier as it could have been totally avoided. ******* ******* is no longer associated with my Agency.
