On 3/25/2024 I had a an appointment schedule at the Comprehensive Pain Center of Madison Mississippi. 769.300.0730. I explained to them I just moved here from Florida and they are supposed to get my records and so on and so forth because I take pain medication. I explained to them that I'm on disability and I have a broken leg, a broken ankle, two broken forearms, and a my left shoulder was broken and so until I heal I am on pain medication. I since I recently moved from another state and I made an appointment with this business. Once I saw the doctor I explained to her I was on Medicaid in Florida but I have to transfer it here to Mississippi. So I said I'm paying out of pocket so I can get things situated. And she explained to me it would be better if I used a Medicaid doctor and I gave her my Medicaid card she looked at it and then she said she really couldn't help me because I had to use other procedures if I wanted to receive pain medication from their business. I said I don't have the money financially to subscribe to these other medical procedures. She said okay she said well I'll see if I can help you get a Medicaid doctor but she couldn't find anything on her phone but she wrote something down on a piece of paper with some information so I said well I just paid $232 I would like to get my money back since you can't help me. She said okay no problem. Also, she said I she had to check with the CEO. So at any rate she came back and said she took care of it. So I left and I spoke to the receptions at the front desk and explained the same thing to her and so she said she would have to wait till she heard from the higher-ups. Well I called today 3/28 to see what's going on with my refund. Then she went on to say well I was seen. I said yes but I didn't get my medical prescriptions that I came for. I'm not paying $232 and and not get my medication that I need. Anyway, she said she she would put me through to somebody named ***** and I could leave a message she would be the one to refund me so I left a message. Then I get another call back from somebody who was very rude to me and said I was seen blah blah blah I tried to talk but she kept talking over me and was very rude and I said listen you're interrupting me you're not letting me talk. I said I'm not paying money and not getting the medications I need for nothing. I said I'm on disability and I'm on Medicaid. I only get x amount of dollars every month and I can't work right now and I can't afford for you to take this money for no services rendered. I have to pay another doctor that can help me. I said and the doctor already said I would get my refund. So anyway I would like to get my $232.88 back from the Comprehensive Pain Center please. And I don't appreciate how rude the receptionist were and the other one that called me back. They need to screen people before they make an appointment and find out more information before they take people's money for nothing. And I learned need to learn how to be kind to people and listen instead of running their mouth. Anyway I need to file this complaint because I have a feeling these people going to try to keep my money and I didn't get any services from these people. Thank you very much for your time.

As part of our initial patient screening, it is our practice that individuals inquiring to be a new patient, are informed if our clinic is not in network with their plan.  I have reviewed Ms. ******'s phone call of inquiry with our practice, 3/15/2024 at 10:43am of 13:41 minutes in its entirety, for quality assurance and verified that Ms. ****** was informed we did not accept her insurance and she would be a self-pay patient and she verbalized understanding.  It was also verified that she was told the amount of the potential visit, and that payment would be required at the time of service.

I have attached the merchant copy of the credit card receipt which was signed by Ms. ******** ****** as Ms. ****** uploaded her unsigned customer copy of the same receipt.

As a Pain Management Practice registered with the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure, and as part of our clinic's Risk and Compliance Program, some of our requirements are to review the Prescription Monitoring Program at each visit, perform point-of-service and random drug screening, and offer opioid-sparing treatments. Opioid sparing treatments include all the things a patient might do to reduce the need for opioid medication such as physical therapy, bracing, such as back or knee braces, and procedures, such as steroid injections or nerve blocks, among others.  Opioid medications are prescribed as a last resort. It is our responsibility to help curb abuse and reduce harm to those who rely on opioids for pain management.

Each visit with any provider in our practice does not guarantee that prescriptions will be written or orders given based only on the patients' wishes.  We also do not debate a patient’s care in a third-party venue.

I had to contact my bank and explain what happened with this Comprehensive Pain Center. The bank somehow with Drew back my money the $232. I canceled that debit card so they couldn't retrieve it back so I got my money back but through my bank. The company would not answer me every time I called they put me with the circle jerk they wouldn't answer my phone calls ***** won't return my calls this is a very bad company. I can't believe that they can just take people's money and not render services. Their protocol is way out of whack. And they need to be on The blacklist as far as a company that's used for it's a doctorship. Where is there compassion they just want to take people's money anyway thank you very much better business bureau. So I think Wells Fargo Bank my bank for helping me and thank you for helping me too.
