I am the victim of Identity Theft and I am not responsible for the account with Citizens National Bank (Account # **********). I advised the company that my identity was stolen and used to co-sign for an auto loan. I sent them the attached letter regarding the alleged debt and asked for the associated supporting docs so I can identify who stole my ID. I never received this information. Citizens National Bank must cease and desist any and all collection activities until it can be established that this debt is owed by me, including reporting this debt and the associated payment history to the credit bureaus. Per 15 USC Chapter 41 §1681s–2. (6) (B) Information alleged to result from identity theft: If a consumer submits an identity theft report to a person who furnishes information to a consumer reporting agency at the address specified by that person for receiving such reports stating that information maintained by such person that purports to relate to the consumer resulted from identity theft, the person may not furnish such information that purports to relate to the consumer to any consumer reporting agency, unless the person subsequently knows or is informed by the consumer that the information is correct. The Identity Theft report is attached. Otherwise, I demand validation of this debt as per USC 15 Chapter 14 §1681m. (g) (2): upon request of the consumer to whom the debt purportedly relates, provide to the consumer all information to which the consumer would otherwise be entitled if the consumer were not a victim of identity theft, but wished to dispute the debt under provisions of law applicable to that person. Citizens National Bank has a duty to promptly notify the credit bureaus of the corrections they are making to the information on this account as well as a duty NOT to continue to furnish any of the information that remains inaccurate. This is violating my privacy & my right to fair and accurate credit reporting.

      *****,

Thank you for taking the time to talk with me this morning. Per our conversation, the bank believes that the request for information is not from ******* **** but from someone else. The letter's postmark is Orlando, FL, but the return address is Waynesboro, MS. Also, the letter requesting the information was typed and not signed by the person requesting the information.

After reviewing the file, it appears that Mr. **** did sign the loan documents. Mr. **** opened a checking account with Citizens National Bank in 2012, and the signature on the signature card agrees with the signature on the loan documents.

I need a letter requesting information to be signed by Mr. ****.

We took out a mortgage on our house through Citizens National Bank in May of 2020. Since taking out this mortgage, we have dealt with one issue after another with this bank. We have automatic payments set up for our mortgage, so we pay our bill on time every month. However, there has been charges of late fees several times now that we have had to call in to get resolved and waived. Our main issue that needs to be resolved, though, is payment towards our home insurance. We pay the bank monthly via escrow to pay our insurance company for our home insurance. This is the third year in a row that our insurance company has reached out to us about the home insurance not being paid. We have contacted Citizens National Bank regarding this issue, but our insurance still hasn't been paid. Our coverage has now lapsed due to Citizens National Bank fraudulent practices. If something happens to our home during this lapse of coverage, we are now liable as homeowners. Recently, Citizens has changed our account number for our mortgage loan due to a system update. This update caused a glitch in the system, and our payment was not able to be processed. We called to get it resolved on May 15, and they told us that the glitch was an issue with their system, and they would get it fixed. They stated no late penalties will be charged due to it being a system error. The payment still has not processed, and we received a statement in the mail on May 23, 2023 stating we are late on our payment and will be charged a fee. We are very frustrated with the service we are currently receiving from Citizens and believe their negligence towards dispersing our funds to our home insurance justifies an investigation of fraudulent activity.
