I went to tidal wave Auto spa / car wash about 3 weeks ago and I wanted to get just one car wash and I mentioned to the guy that was helping me that $12 for one single wash was kind of expensive. So he says to me that I can either pay the $12 and get one wash or I can be in the club and pay the $12 and get unlimited watches for a month. So like anyone else would have done I said well yeah I'll do that. I got the little sticker on my window that I had free washes for the month but didn't really end up using it I think I used it twice maybe. Then today I get a $25.65 charge on my card from tidal wave car wash. I had no idea this was going to be a recurring charge every month I had no idea I was signing up to pay something every month I just thought this was a month thing and then it would be over with. The man assisting me never once mentioned that hey you know this is going to come off your card every month. I called customer service and told her you know I had no idea this is what I was signing up for I was just told it was $12 for the month and I would have to get unlimited washes and she says well basically I had to cancel 7 days in advance and that they cannot issue me a refund. She says they sent me a text when I signed up saying that I would be charged every month for the club membership and I told her no I didn't want that I wanted to cancel the subscription I didn't even know I was doing that I had no idea I was being signed up for something that was going to be charging me every month. I can't afford $30 every month just for a car wash I don't go that often so not something that is a necessity to me right now I'm a single mother of two children and I struggle with money already as it is, let alone for me to be adding some unnecessary charge monthly on my account that I cannot afford. They were not helpful when I called, I asked for a manager to speak with and she told me they did not have any for me to speak with and that they would not issue me a refund.
